What Is Wrong With Me?

We went into Manhattan {SoHo} for a holiday party this weekend. We didn't have time to head to the tree at Rockefeller Center or peek at the shop windows, but I did get a picture of this.



This chandelier was in the lobby of the building, where the loft we were heading upstairs to for the party was. There were 12 of us standing in the lobby waiting for the elevator and do you know I was the only one that noticed this chandelier! Well, I thought it was breath-taking. {Click on the picture to enlarge}.

This is what I took a picture of on my first trip into Manhattan in like five years! There is something wrong with me.

    your perspectives have changed..
    instead of doing the tried,true and VERY expected to be done..

    Ha! You are too funny. Did you notice any crown molding? I find myself always looking for that - especially in old NYC buildings!

    Nothing is wrong with you. We are all grateful for the item you chose to capture! Rockefeller Center is overphotographed for sure and this beauty was just waiting for someone to notice her :).

    Well, I'm with you, it's stunning. I bet it's even more gorge live and in person.

    Oh, I'm so bad with the camera sometimes when we're out and about, away on vaca, whatever. Sometimes it's just such much trouble - turning it on, focusing, having to make everyone "wait" for you.

    You make me feel better - the first pictures I took when we went to Toronto this summer were of the bathroom, curtains and a stool in our hotel room :)

    I would think something would be wrong if you neglected to take a picture of that gorgeous chandelier, next time though leave out the exit sign...lol!

    It is stunning! I am jealous that you were in NYC. My husband was there this week and I so wanted to go but couldn't get away - it's just so hard this time of the year with everything going on. You lucky girl!

    What?!! You didn't try to take that home with you?? Didn't you have a tool kit tucked under that party dress? That's fabulous. I envy you for being to see Manhattan during the holiday season. I've seen so many beautiful pictures of the city, and I'd just love to go.
