Wine Caddy to Plant Holder

Last week I shared this wire wine bottle caddy that I had gotten at Goodwill.  I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it as soon as I saw it.

Here it is spray painted white.  I used Krylon and the can said it is good for metal, wood, etc.  I hung it on a tree branch and was able to get most of it covered this way.

And here it is with faux geraniums I had stored in my basement.  These are, surprisingly,  done very well, and they are in tall, narrow terracotta pots {which you can just see through the wire}.  I got them at Hallmark about eight years ago.  You can’t really see the handle in this picture as I put the flowers on either side of it, but I can pick it up and put it anywhere I feel I need some color.  Even if it is faux!

I’ve already put it in my gazebo and am eager to get this season started!

One project down, 789 to go!  I like to get these difficult projects out of the way first!

I was hoping we could bring out our outdoor furniture and turn the solar heat on in the pool this weekend but it is COLD here and we made a fire in the fireplace!?!

  10. Love the transformation. Last year I got those same geraniums at Michaels. They came in a bush and I loved them. they were so real looking, that I mixed them in my front wall plater outside with my real impatients. I don't have any sun there and impatients are the only flower that will grow. No one knew thay were not real! I love your gazebo. I have always wanted one. Blessings...Sherry

  15. Very sweet. I'm so into teracotta pots and rustic folliage at the moment. Reminds me of my entryway reveal I posted about last week.
