You Wanna Do A Swap? Let’s Do A Swap!

Swap sign-up has ended!  If you signed up, thank you.  Your partner info will be emailed to shortly.

swapbutton copy I had a really good time doing a swap a few months ago ~ putting the items together and then receiving a package in the mail.  Who doesn’t like getting a surprise in the mail? {I’m not talking the electric bill in the middle of Summer either}!   My urge to do this came after I washed this item below, because I thought, “surely I can use this for something”.

I still want to do a cocktail napkin swap, but I was thinking that would be good to do right after Halloween {and work out well for the holidays} when we all have company over and could really actually use some cocktail napkins.  So keep that one in mind and if anyone is up for making me a button for that little shindig, I’d be appreciative.  {The button I did above took me 2 hours}!!

So leave me a comment and send me an email if you are interested in doing this particular swap.  This will be the criteria:

  • You’d need the larger plastic container for size {mine had strawberries in it} and we’ll do little items.
  • You’ll be paired up {or trio’d up depending on how many people join in}.
  • You’ll need to check out your partner’s blog to see what kinds of things they like or are into.
  • We will swap anything from embellishments that others can use in their own crafting or something you’ve found/seen that just screams your partner’s name.  It does not have to be just crafty things.
  • Everyone must be signed up by August 15th and I will send you your partner’s information a couple of days after that.
  • Swaps should be mailed to their recipients by August 31st.

The items in the container would probably be decoration enough because they are clear and all the beautiful things will show through, but feel free to decorate the container as well.

So if you’re game, I will put everyone together and email you your partner’s name and address so make sure you send me your address as well as your full name.   The button is just copy/paste as there was no way I was going to try and figure out code.

  4. Kathy, thank you so much for your comments on the drapes I am going to redo for the familyroom. I do have 2 of the Pate patterns and when I originally bought the fabric that I am going to use, I planned on making one of them. I think since this room is really small and rather busy with so much furniture that I really need for seating, that I will just attach a panel of fabric to the top of the drape and then either hang from rings or may shir on the rod again. I will add fringe to the panel for a little umph. Hopefully that will look nice and yet not seem too over the top. What do you think? Thanks again for your thoughts. Since drapes are your thing, I really do appreciate your thoughts and input. Hugs, Marty

  8. Hi Kathy! I used to do so many swaps, but it's been quite a while since I've been involved in one (only because I got burned on it - my partner never reciprocated grrrr!!!). This sounds like it would be fun and creative. Think I'll give swapping another try, so count me in! :o)
