Thanks to my sister posting about a white bowl with a fleur de lis design she got a couple of weeks ago at Walmart, I headed over to the website to see what they had in dishes. I saw the dishes that matched the bowl she showed. This is the Country Crest collection in the Better Homes & Gardens line.
I left that website having placed an order for two sets of these. The Medallion Wreath collection, also from the Better Homes & Gardens line. At $34.96 for a 16-piece set, I couldn’t resist!
Not the fleur design you might have expected me to get, but I really liked this one better. Love the scalloped edge and wreath detail.
Of course, I had to play with them and did a quickie table setting just to see how it all looked together!
I combined them with the white wood chargers I got from Pier 1 a couple of months ago. They only had three left the day I went, so I bought all three. I love them and will be replacing my everyday dishes with these. I bought two sets.
Having the dishes ship to the store was free and I just picked them up there! I think that these will mix in nicely with other dishes I already have, too. I’m finding that’s the nice thing about having a set of white dishes. For a great post on white dishes from a true dish aficionado, check out Yvonne from Stone Gable’s post here.

ReplyDeleteOh!!!! I think I wished I hadn't seen this post. I am in love with these white dishes! I do like the ones you chose best. AND those chargers are fabulous. I wish our Pier 1 was a smidge closer. Great quick table Kathy!

ReplyDeleteKathy I love those dishes and your right they will mix well with other ones! Martina
ReplyDeleteWow! I've been in the market for some new dishes for a while! These are ranking up there pretty high! LOVE THEM!
ReplyDeleteTablescapers can never have enough white dishes! Pretty post ... thanks for sharing ...Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy, I love the new white dishes! I have the same chargers from Pier One. Our local shop has them in stock again.

Oh, I love both of the whites. They have so many fun white on whites now don't they. That fleur de lys is fabulous. I bought those same chargers at Pier 1 and have loved them. I must have gotten them right away because I got 10. Then I wanted to get more for a giveaway. They are just so fun and quite reasonable. Everything was gorgeous together! You are going to have so much fun.
ReplyDeleteKathy,
ReplyDeleteI just love your new dishes, especially the Medallion Wreath collection! It is so elegant with the scalloped edges. Have a blessed Easter.
OMGoodness Kathy, love your white dishes! They are just gorgeous and so are those chargers. I need to start hitting Pier I more often. I just never think about going on there that often.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day,
Gail
Those are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteLove the dishes. I am really loving all the plain white pieces from IKEA too.
ReplyDeleteLove the plates. They are so tempting. But I think my hubby would leave me if I bought anymore white plates. But then, can you really have too many white plates?
ReplyDeleteYou are right, the tealight candle holder holding the watermelon are ants, Kathy. I really like your dishes and I think I want to get the fleur de lis one....Christine
ReplyDeleteGorgeous dishes, Kathy! I love them paired with the beautiful chargers from Pier One, too !! You're all set for Easter now !! *Becca*
ReplyDeleteWell, I just love these! I am going over to the website and check it out! I am feeling the need for these too! For some unknown reason my plates and glasses disappear at my house! Into thin air! Go figure!

So pretty and so jealous you got the set! I've been meaning to go back to Walmart to get the set but never did. Thanks for the nudge!

I love those dishes! I've seen the ones you purchased at WalMart, but I don't recall ever seeing the ones your sister bought - love them too! Incidentally, I have 3 of the serving bowls matching the set you bought ;o) Those wood chargers . . . I have to have them! I think a trip to Pier 1 is in the future. Hope they still have them.
ReplyDeleteBig fan of white dishes! And these are keepers!

Your new dishes are fabulous and I absolutely love your chargers. Gorgeous. You can do so much with those beautiful dishes, just think of all the tablescapes. Love your runner also. Thanks for joining TTT. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteThese are fabulous!! I can't believe they're from Walmart, I've gotta get up there soon!!

Oh these are lovely, truly. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI bought the holiday white dishes Walmart had in 2009 because they were so inexpensive, and have loved them! Only problem is, they didn't have them this year and with an 11-year old boy and a clumsy me, I needed to replace some pieces. I love this set you got! Might have to get a couple of sets, too!
