I’m In Trouble

Yup. There is potential trouble a brewing here in Ohio.  I have apparently been bitten by the flea and antique mart bug, known in my area as the Springboro Flea’n’tique Mart.  I showed you the dome clock and the little sugar/creamer set I got?  Well, I was back there the next day getting a little shelf I had seen.

I’d had a little trouble sleeping the night before and as I roamed the house in the dark, found myself thinking about where I was going to put those Beatrix Potter figurines.  Especially since I just added four new white pieces {albeit small pieces} to that glass door cabinet in my kitchen.

I grabbed this little shelf that I had made over for my granddaughter’s china tea sets and don’t you know it was perfect for the figurines.  But this was for the tea sets ~ I couldn’t use that!  So the next best thing? Make one just like it!  This one cost me $8.00 at my new favorite place.

Applique added? Check.  Heirloom White paint? Check.

Beatrix Potter figurines added? Check, check and check!

I’m going to add this in the laundry room ~ either the side wall or the shelves {when I get them}.  It will give me that little bit of pretty I want and make it feel like part of the house {and not just a laundry area}.   The garage door entrance is right in the laundry room.

We use the garage door to enter the house all the time. I’d show you a picture but this is the side of the condo with no windows and the lighting is horrible.  I’m working on that!

I want to thank you for all of your suggestions about that print in my last post.  I’ve had it up since Friday afternoon and I like it more and more as I look at it.  I’m thinking I will try a black chunky frame first.  Of course, I’ll let you know how that looks!

  12. Oh! Perfect shelf for your BP figurines!! I have some VERY similar, only mine aren't glazed (looks like yours are). I keep them in a box! I have been busy with a precious granddaughter that just made her entrance. I will have to think of a way to display them so she can enjoy!
