Added To The List

So far, so good with sticking to my non-spending.  Of course, it’s only the middle of the first month, so that’s not saying much.  I am focusing on using supplies I have on hand for present and upcoming projects.  However, I do have a credit at Hobby Lobby {loophole!}, and a coupon, and I’ve decided to use it to get this.

And this trim.

To do something that involves this.

After we moved, I noticed this.

Which I don’t believe was there before we moved.  It does make for a good excuse to do a project again that I enjoyed doing a few months ago.  I’ll be working on that this week.   I’ve long admired this fabric that Kim at Savvy Southern Style has shown, as well as, I believe, Rhonda at Blue Creek Home, and it seems perfect for this project.

I also went crazy and bought this candle that was 50% off.  Still within my range for the credit I was using, mind you.  It smells wonderful ~ White Tea & Thyme by Darcee and David.  Have you ever heard of them before?  I hadn’t, but will look forward to checking out their other candles.  This has a nice subtle smell.

  2. Kathy, I have a few of their candles. I've only seen them at HL. I too am trying hard not to spend. With just me, and my income drastically reduced, I don't have much choice.

  3. I enjoyed reading a few posts back today and I think I should make a to-do list, but then again I may get overwhelmed by it. I love your fabric and look forward to seeing your finished project. I too am trying to stick to the not spending idea, I did get a few silver things at an after Christmas sale but used my "latte money" to get them.

    Have you ever tried them? The oil content in them are extremely high so the fragrance payoff is fabulous!

  15. Yay for coupons and store credits! Have fun with your lamp project :-)

    I've never heard of Darcee and David candles. I did discover a cool candle at a craft show in December, though. You can use the melted wax from the candle as skin cream!

    {I think I like Sheldon on TBBT so much because I can identify with a lot of his quirks. Not his brain, though! And I've noticed his layered shirts too - most of them are geeky, but I like them :-) }

  16. When we go to Alley Cat Chic, all we can do is look, okay? LOL- You look out for me and I'll keep you in check, too! I think that fabric will make a very pretty lampshade. :-) Glad you're enjoying a pretty smelling candle- I've never heard of this brand before.
