Dressed For New Year’s Eve

As promised, I wanted to come back and show you my table dressed up for our New Year’s Eve get together.  We went buffet style doing appetizer type foods since we went out to dinner.   Everybody loved the “tablecloth” and couldn’t believe it was a tree skirt.

I cleaned up all three of my silver trays to be called into action and decided to go with this one in the middle to cover the hole.  This is my largest tray.

I brought out a couple of silver candlesticks I have and put the two smaller trays on top of them to elevate them.

Put out the two trees I just got at TJ Maxx, too.  I had nowhere to put them at the moment, so I figured “why not”.

Added in some tealight candles and a couple of clock related things.

Here it is just waiting on the addition of some food!

  3. Hi Kathy, Your table looks great! The tree skirt is s clever idea...I have those same trees from T.J. Maxx. I hope you are having a wonderful start to the new year! I have been playing way too much lately. It's time I buckle down and get some stuff done. I am a little overwhelmed with things now. Anyway, I think those thermal pants are Columbia. My dad wears them golfing.

I have thought about tile and might go that route. I was hoping to find something cheap! lol...I have a really small budget for this room. I definitely know that I can't stand this carpet for much longer! It's dirty and everything gets stuck in it. I'm going to go look for flooring soon. Thanks! Have a great day! Kristen
