A Too Cute Thrifty Find

Wednesday I decided to go to both Goodwill and Salvation Army, as they are not far away from each other and along the same road. I like to check in and look for those things that I’ve been watching and waiting for, which I still haven’t found yet.  However, my disappointment usually fades fairly quickly when I do find things like this.

From Salvation Army, my total was $7.46.  The large container/umbrella stand was marked “As Is” and was half off.  I checked it out all over and couldn’t see anything wrong with it so I’m not sure what the “as is” was talking about.

This wall pocket ~ $.99! I’m pretty sure it’s plastic, but with a new paint job it’s going to look like a million bucks!

This little terra cotta pot.  Also, $.99, and this will also be getting a  paint job and some prettifying.

My “too cute” find was at the Goodwill and was really the only thing I got there. This cute little Fisher Price baby doll stroller.

My daughter just said to me the day before, “if you see a little stroller . . . because she likes to push hers.”  And there it was!  For $2.99 it came home with me and got a good cleaning with Chlorox wipes and some Febreeze.

It is in very good condition, except for some wear on the wheels, but that’s okay. It just means some other little cutie enjoyed her stroller as mine will!

  4. ohh I had a little stroller a lot like that when I was a kid. I'm ashamed to admit I tormented my poor kitty trying to make her stay in it on our walks lol. I put a tiny bonnet on her too which she didnt like..

good for you getting some new pretties for cheap.

  6. You did good Kathy! I went to Goodwill and Salvation Army yesterday and came home with nothing!! I surprised myself because I seem to always find some kind of trash to treasure. That's a cute stroller and I'm sure your granddaughter is going to love it. Hope you have a wonderful weekend...it's suppose to rain here all weekend.

  7. Kathy- You did great. I think "maybe" that AS IS might be because that stand used to have an insert...but I could be wrong.

Our littles love pushing a doll stroller around...even our little guy does it with his monkey! xo Diana
