This week I decided to try and concentrate on the master bedroom projects I wanted to finish up. I did the panels for the bed crown and the demilune accent table was next on the list.
I decided to do a combination of my homemade white chalk paint and the ASCP Duck Egg. I knew I wanted to do this combo, but wasn’t sure how I was going to go about it. Until I saw a desk done by Laura at Whimsical Perspectives, where she did ASCP Old White and French Linen {my current favorite}.
It was a tedious painting project trying not to get white on the Duck Egg and vice versa. Here it is before waxing.
Then I applied clear and dark waxes, until I got it the way I wanted it to look.
I think it works with the dresser and mirrors very well.
Here’s a side-by-side before and after.
Here’s a little tip {that’s been around for a long time} ~ to hide lamp cords behind a table, tape the cord to one of the legs. I just used painter’s tape here, but duct tape or electrical tape would work just as well.

Your blue and white room is really shaping up quickly, Kathy. Your blue and white demi lune turned out really well--you wouldn't think it would be too hard to keep the colors separate... Thanks for the smile this a.m. on the comment you left for me.
