A Mum Collar

I picked up the smallest size mum for a little pot I have on our outdoor table.  It was still a little too big for the pot so I thought about how I could work with this.

I still had some burlap garland, so I sewed a line of thread through the middle to gather it.  Measured it against the pot and then just sewed it closed around the pot.

It’s like a little burlap collar for my mum! It adds a bit of interest to the pot for Fall and hides the black pot the mum came in.

  15. Hello Kathy~~I'm so happy to be back visiting!
The ruffled burlap was such a clever finishing touch. It completed the whole look.
I'm looking forward to Fall. I've been gathering bits and pieces for a centerpiece. The beautiful jewel tones of the season are my favorite.

    Sweet wishes,
    Sara
