Last week I went to Goodwill, mainly to get some sweaters to convert into boot socks/leg warmers and arm warmers. I did get some lovely sweaters, and my sister sent me some lace that she had picked up, so I will get started on those soon. I also found this large teapot.
Since I will be removing a tureen from my whites cabinet to go up on top of the cabinets, I wanted something of similar size to fill its spot. This worked out really well to do that.
I think this piece fit perfectly. Of course, I didn’t find any tureens, but I’ll be looking for them throughout the year. I also found this nice silver tray. I love the size and shape.
I’m hoping to find one or two more that I can hang on a small sliver of wall in our kitchen. Kind of like this look, but without the rack.
I love these trays below, but don’t want anything quite as big for the area I have in mind. I know I have seen both these pictures before, but there was no source on Pinterest for these when I found them. If it is you, or you know who it is, please let me know.

The last thing I found was this frame. I thought it might look nice painted in a Vintage White, so I’ll be doing that quick project soon.

Dearest Kathy,
ReplyDeleteFound you on Dee's blog and came over for a visit. Interesting things you found at Goodwill. Wish we didn't have to drive almost 3 hours for a Goodwill in our area. Both of us have worked also in your current state of Ohio, when we still were connected with Campbell's Soup.
Have a great weekend and success for finding the terrine one of these days...
Mariette

I love your new white teapot! That's a great score! I love white dishes like that. The tray is pretty too. I like the idea you have of hanging them in a grouping on the wall. White dishes and silver......classic and timeless!

What a great finds Kathy! I love tea pots and have collected a few but the one I love the most belonged to my grandmother. I have it displayed in my kitchen. Enjoy your weekend, Gail
ReplyDeleteThe GW Fairy was with you the day you found that white tea pot! Very nice find. Love the silver tray ideas too. I didn't think a magnet would stick to a silver/plated tray but I guess I never really tried it.
ReplyDeleteI really like that new tea pot and the tray. It'a amazing how a person can see so many sets of things and then as soon as you decide to start collecting it's all so impossible to find. Continued success in your searching! :) ~ Jamie
ReplyDeleteOh Kath, you found all sorts of awesome treasures of your GW run, whoo hoo!
ReplyDeleteI really REALLY love you are mixing that teapot in with your tureens - for some interest, and well, because all things tea rock, haha.
Love love the vignette and can't wait to see how the painted frame turns out.
Hugs.
The tea pot is lovely!
ReplyDeleteCute teapot and great finds - I am getting so annoyed with "pinners" lately. It is such an easy procedure to pin and so many people do not do it correctly!
ReplyDeleteLove the teapot..I got rid of quite a few silver trays years ago..They will look nice displayed that way.
ReplyDeleteYou found some great things, Kathy! Love the silver tray- how big is it? It's always hard to tell proportion in pics.
ReplyDeleteYour white teapot gives me a case of the "envies". It is beautiful! I understand what you mean about the size of the trays you want and relinquishing the rack. I haven't seen what you are looking for yet, but I'll keep my eyes open for you.
ReplyDeleteYou always find such good things at GW, Kathy, that now every time I'm in there I'm thinking, "What would Kathy do with this?" LOL. The teapot is gorgeous! Thanks for stopping by my "P is for Pink Pancakes."
ReplyDeleteLove that tray look too! Especially for the towels. Great finds!

ReplyDeletePerfectly sweet teapot, Kathy...great find!
ReplyDeleteI love your teapot! Our local GW NEVER gets anything like this! I want to collect more ironstone but never come across, not even at the local antique store! I'm a new follower! I would love for you to stop by when you get a sec! Have a blessed week!
ReplyDeleteThe tea pot is so pretty! I love the ideas of how to use the silver trays!
