Many of you know that I am a grandma {or LaLa} to my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter. I shared the news that I would be becoming a grandma, the Alice themed baby shower, and a few pictures when she arrived. Since she arrived, this child has brought so much joy and laughter to our lives. She is the light of our lives!
Recently I was making some of my Sweet Hearts for my Etsy shop out of what I had left of some script monogram fabric. I came across an “E” and since my granddaughter’s name starts with “E”, I decided to make her a heart. She recognizes the letter “E” and will point it out to us now.
It wasn’t until after I sewed and stuffed it that I decided to add some crinkled seam binding I had, as a loopy bow at the bottom and a piece for a hanger at the top.
A small blingy button as a finishing touch and I’ve got a little heart for my sweet “E”. Of course, I gave her my heart 2 1/2 years ago, so this one is just symbolic.
I’ll have some new Sweet Hearts in my Etsy over the next few days.
What a little sweetie!! Love the heart!
ReplyDeleteSuch a great heart and your granddaughter is so cute. Love those curls and that pretty red dress. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteShe is adorable with those blonde curls. My grandson has hair just like that. His hair looks a bit long but oh so cute. You should have been in my heart swap.
ReplyDeleteMy eldest daughter's name starts with an E too and I was so excited thinking you were going to sell that heart, haha. I guess I just got way ahead of myself.
ReplyDeleteShe is so darling. And don't they grow much too fast?
Have a fabulous week, Kath.

The heart is precious; I can see it on door knob in her room, but the most precious is hers and yours--I COMPLETELY understand. I have a picture of myself holding our brand new baby granddaughter that I keep out all the time. I call it JOY, because the look on my face is exactly that. You would probably think of something so creative to do with that picture. I love her curls; our chickadees have curls too. There's just something about babies with curls...she's precious.
ReplyDeleteOMGoodness Kathy, what gorgeous little curls....your granddaughter is precious!!
