Redecorating The Cabinet Tops

My goal this year is to get a few more white tureens to add to the top of the kitchen cabinets on one side of our kitchen.  So far, I have three.

I’m hoping to find what I need at Goodwill {where I found these three} or at one of the local antique marts.  I went looking on Pinterest for some inspiration but, sadly, couldn’t find anything showing the look.  The only blogger I can remember who did this is Kathy at Kate’s Place.  This is a photo of her kitchen below {not mine}.

I was sure I had seen tureens on other blogger’s kitchen cabinet tops, so if you can think of someone who has this, I’d love if you could let me know.   You can get the idea, though, from Kathy’s picture and from what I’ve got going so far.

I think three more for a total of six here will look good without feeling overcrowded.  Plus, I’ll consider myself lucky if I can find three more!

    I love your kitchen. It is so pretty. I found alot of nice white ironstone at Home Goods and TJ Maxx for my shelves.

    I have a couple small ones I will be putting in the store soon - I have about 8 huge boxes of things I need to photograph and list in the near future.

    I love that look, Kathy. Everytime I see it I wanna take a hammer to my soffits, haha.

    Bathroom redo is next, then porch, then maybe kitchen.

    All is good time, huh? A gal's gotta DREAM!!

    Hi Kathy, Oh I hope you find them to complete your look on the top of the cabinets. Your kitchen is gorgeous and I just love it. So bright and cottage charming.
    I love soup tureens too and have only two at the moment. I thought about looking for more as well to add to my kitchen and dining room.

    I love how the tureens look, Kathy. You are on your way to a good collection. Kathy's kitchen is good inspiration (love her whole house!). I have one tureen that I bought new. I never see them when I'm out thrifting although I don't get a chance to do that much. Good luck finding more!

    Beautiful pieces! My friend just found one the other day at Goodwill, a tureen but no lid....it was gorgeous!! And WHITE! LOVE YOUR LOOK for the Kitchen! Have a blessed weekend! Roxie

    I love white tureens too. I think they look pretty lined up like that above your cabinets. You can find some good deals on ebay too. I bought one from there that was brand new in its original box. Obviously it wasn't vintage, but it was a great price and just the look I was going for.
