Since my hope is to get a narrow bench to fit behind our front door and underneath the gallery wall I’m putting together, I have been thinking ahead to how I might style it. I love the French basket look, especially those with fabric printed numbers on them. Like these I found on Pinterest. This one below is the color I am going for.

And this one has the number on fabric.

I found this basket on a recent trip to Goodwill. I thought the size would work well and it’s the type of thing that if my granddaughter picks it up and walks around the house with it when she’s over I won’t care.
I also had these pieces of Osnaberg that I had stenciled some numbers on.
Using French Linen chalk paint that I already had, I put some in a cup and watered it down a little. I then painted the inside and outside of the basket.
Once it was dry, I attached my fabric number to the front of the basket with some hot glue.
A little faux plant plopped inside it and it is all ready to sit on a bench looking pretty!
