I wound up making an unexpected change to our main bathroom last week. I went to TJ Maxx to look for a new wallet {found two} and decided to browse the clearance aisles in the home section. I found this Laura Ashley shower curtain for $10.00.
I had just been thinking that a shower curtain with more white in it might help brighten up this windowless bathroom, too. I had left our striped one up because it at least had a little bit of white in it. This is an older picture of what it looked like before {also before I put the frame around the mirror}.
Here it is with the new shower curtain. I think it is perfect for the warmer months!
That same day I also hit Hobby Lobby for the pillow form I needed and I finished off my second Alice themed pillow.
This one features the tea party setting and two lacey ruffles. This is now in my Etsy.
The last thing I have to share today is this little fern I picked up at Home Depot. I put it in the birdcage in our sunroom.
Let’s just see if I can keep it alive long enough to get a pot for it. Hopefully, at one of the garage sales.
I just love your shower curtain...it's perfect here and adds a nice clean feel to your bath. Sometimes I find her patterns to be overly feminine but this is gorgeous and a great price as well. Love blue and white!
ReplyDeleteYour pillow is so cute! What a neat theme!

Your bathroom looks so pretty. I really need to start figuring out what to do with ours. It's only taken 12 years lol!

The new shower curtain is so pretty and what a great buy. Love that fern, I can't grow them either, they always die. I just go with faux. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteLove the new shower curtain! Isn't it great that you can change the whole look of the room with just that one item! I am always on the lookout for shower curtains on clearance - great find!

Your shower curtain looks awesome- wow, what a difference it makes in that bath! Well done!
ReplyDeleteLove that Alice pillow. It's one of my favorite themes, as you well know!
As for your fern: do you have any smaller cloches that would fit in that bird cage? If you enclose that fern it would almost sustain itself like a terrarium - just try and keep it in a lit room but away from direct sunlight - they're hardier than they seem. And if you take it out when you shower or occassionally mist them, they loooove a good mist/humidity session!
Kathy,
