Last week, I showed you here where I was going to make my first rag quilt. That post has some inspiration pictures and a link to the tutorial that I followed. I wound up also following this tutorial, too, and went back and forth between the two as needed. Here is the finished crib quilt.
I chose my fabrics based on the nursery theme that will be in this baby boy’s room.
I think the hardest part of making this quilt {not really hard but time consuming} was cutting into the seamed pieces to create what will be that lovely raggy look. Since I had enough fabric left over, I purchased a pillow insert and made a pillow to go with it.
I am actually ahead of the game and have my gift all ready before the baby has even arrived!
I think a crib size quilt was a good first time project to take on. I will have to get those spring loaded scissors before I make a bigger one!
