Adding A Monogram Or Two

SONY DSC

I’ve been craving some updates, but as you’ve heard me say “budget” is our key word this year!  Last year I made up these pillow covers for pillows in our master bedroom.  I used a toile on the front and just plain Osnaberg fabric on the back.

This allowed me to give a couple of existing pillows a new look to work better with our master bedroom.

I could use the pillows as reversible, even with the plain fabric back, but thought it could use a little something.  I decided to add a monogram using my husband’s first initial and mine.  I purchased these from Winged Images on Etsy.Antique French Monogram Letter M Instant Download Digital Image No.229 Iron-On Transfer to Fabric (burlap, linen) Paper Prints (cards, tags)

Antique French Monogram Letter K Instant Download Digital Image No.227 Iron-On Transfer to Fabric (burlap, linen) Paper Prints (cards, tags)

So now whenever the mood hits {including the mood that has me make our bed totally up on occasion}, I can either have the toile side show or the monogram side show.

The lumbar pillow in the middle works with them both ways, because I used the Osnaberg for the pillow itself and the toile for the ruffles on the side.

A change I was able to make for, literally, a couple of dollars {the cost of the images}!

  17. I love the monogram pillows and I had to laugh...I seldom make my bed, I just pull the covers back and skip all the pillows...except when I am having company!
