Adding To The Bunny Collection

Like I need more bunnies! I just couldn’t resist my two newest additions.  I was in our local Home Goods/TJ Maxx the other night and saw this bunny spoon rest.

You would think I do a lot of home cooking that requires lots of stirring, as I now have four spoon rests.

The leaves pictured on the handle also come over each side, too.

My second find were these cute little salt and pepper shakers from Cracker Barrel.

These little guys were $.99 each so I had to get them.  They will take up residence in my whites cabinet when not in use.

Finally, I thought I’d share some of the other bunnies and Easter décor I got out.  This is in the living room.

I also found (online) a few weeks ago these faux chocolate bunnies.  I added them to my dining room buffet.  The yellow eyes are a bit creepy, but they do have the real chocolate bunnies with yellow eyes.

I fell in love with these faux chocolate bunnies when I found this one at an antique store a couple of years ago.

I like this ones eyes a lot better.

More bunnies added to the collection!  Some will stay out all year long, while others I put away; and then I enjoy them more when they come out for a visit.

  7. I don't blame you one bit for buying that fourth spoon rest, Kathy! I have a winter and a summer one, and would've gone for that darling bunny one if I'd seen it! Your decorations look lovely. I love the "chocolate" bunnies, and I sure didn't think anything of the yellow eyes till you mentioned it! You're right; the real ones have yellow eyes, so he needed them to look real!

With the break we had in the weather last week I got inspired to do a bit of spring/Easter decorating myself. Just got my post up too.

Happy spring, and here's hoping for warm weather! ~Zuni

  10. Those are some of the cutest spoon rests I've ever seen! You do have some sweet little bunnies too. I do love those chocolate looking one even with the yellow eyes! :) Yes, yes! That fabric on your little tea towel is the same as on my curtains! How pretty. Now if I could find a 1/2 yard more I'd made a tea towel too! :)

  11. Oh my goodness, now I want to go to Cracker Barrel for breakfast just to see if I can find some cute S&P bunny shakers! I think all of your bunnies are so cute. I found a big bunny at the thrift store that I want to paint to look like a chocolate rabbit but I'm sort of afraid I'll ruin it! Debating still. Your spoon rests are great too and I think it is splendid that you've started a collection!
    Thanks for sharing.
