Spring?

SONY DSC

Hopefully, the weather forecast is correct and we will actually be seeing 60 degrees in a day or two.  Last week I put some Spring and Easter décor out, although I felt a little silly putting my Spring wreath on the door as I looked out on snow and ice (while it was about 12 degrees with the wind chill).

I’m using lots of green – probably because I’m tired of looking at white!

I’ve only done the dining area and a couple of things on the kitchen counter and entry hall tree table right now.

I’m hoping to pick up a couple of daffodil plants for a planter I have for the dining table centerpiece.  I’m sure that will brighten things up considerably.

Meanwhile, I’m just hoping (as I’m sure just about all of you are) that Spring arrives soon and all this snow melts away.

  1. Man, just when I started painting things a blue to get away from white...I see your lovely picture of the green you've added and think hmmmm that green is so pretty! Now I'm re-thinking the blue. Anyway, your vignette is so lovely I am excited about seeing the rest of your décor when you get it up.

  5. Beautiful, Kathy! I enjoy using moss balls, topiaries and cloches, too. That tiny cloche is adorable! I'm just waiting to pick up some tulips, they always remind me of spring and Easter.

  18. Lovely spring decorations, Kathy...love your beautiful wreath! It has been warm here lately, and with the small amount of snow we had this year...there are only a few patches left. And the robins are here now, too...LOVING it.
