Reading through my New York Spaces magazine this weekend, I came across this curvey sofa. The color, pattern and shape caught my eye, so I decided to see what else I could find. Below are some interesting examples.Isola 8 by nien kamper This Marshmallow Sofa was first brought out in 1956.

haha, that white climbing sofa is hilarious...
ReplyDeleteThat last sofa is crazy! While amusing, I think whoever buys it has too muck money.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't resist throwing that one in, Tammy!
ReplyDeleteI know, Christine, but think of the floor space you save. ; )
These are crazy...can you imagine putting one in your home. Thanks for coming by , always nice to hear from you.
ReplyDelete@ Room Service, it would seem a bit like a reception area. The first one makes me think of a hotel lobby or bar. Thank you! Likewise! : )
ReplyDeletethe climbing sofa is very odd yet cute. certainly not pratical. lol! this was a cute post, Kathy!
ReplyDeleteSo interesting...I'd love to know who, if anyone actually buys these pieces! Very fun to look at though...thanks for sharing Kathy!
ReplyDeletethe climbing sofa! Too cool! very creative
ReplyDeleteIs that last one for real? Too funny! ~Tracy
ReplyDeleteIt's kind of like an art piece and seating in one, Tiaa!
ReplyDeleteYou and me both, Jane. It would be interesting to see a spread in a magazine with that last one with a why they used it.
I thought it was different, Amanda! I'm guessing it wouldn't work too well in an open concept living space.
ReplyDeleteI probably looked at that picture the longest, Tracy! I'll bet that's a real conversation piece.
Your de-flowered headline was awesome! Thanks for your comment. That climbing sofa was funny to see!
ReplyDeleteThat last sofa is actually kinda creepy -- it looks like a big bug climbing up the wall!!
ReplyDeleteThe other ones are far less creepy :-) The pink one in in the first picture is quite cool, in fact :-)
Kelly
Awesome furniture. LOVE the climbing sofa!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Maria! I love reading the responses to that climbing sofa.
ReplyDeleteIt was the pink one that started this post, Kelly! It did catch my eye, too. That last one doe seem like something out of the Adam Family or even Beetlejuice. I don't even want to know the price of this one!
@ Red House Happenings ~ this seems to be a laugh at or hate it kind of sofa! Totally impractical, but definitely a conversation starter!
ReplyDeleteLove them all but esp the first and last :-)
