For my last Fall tablescape before Thanksgiving, I wanted to try mixing the dish patterns from previous tablescapes. I pulled out the napkins, napkin rings and dishes I got from Pier 1 about a month ago. The dishes were on clearance. I wanted to see how my Country Living salad plates from Kmart would go with these.
I had picked up the runner at Home Goods and liked it because it didn't have a specific motif, but the colors work for Fall. I also used the glasses I got on clearance at Kohl's.
Dinner plate from Pier 1.
Country Living salad plate from Kmart.
They have different flower patterns going on, but because the colors are the same, it worked for me.
Nice to know I can change things up just by mixing the plates around a bit!

ReplyDeletethose plates are so pretty and they look like they were made to mix and match!! Nice. I also like your wine rack in the background--nice touch.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty... when I was shopping for my fine china, the sales person told me to stick to a simple white set - and then add the coloured accent plates as time goes on. It was the best advice because I can add any colour for any event !!

ReplyDeleteVery pretty tablescape Kathy! Thanks for checking out my Christmas decorating...you asked about the ribbon...the polk a dot ribbon is tied on to the branches. the mesh ribbon is woven around the tree. She left the polk a dot ribbon on the tree from last year, it held up fine. I'm glad you like everything, if I could come help you I would!! I bet you do a great job yourself! Kristen
