{Celebration} Giveaway

**This Giveaway has ended.**

I was in Michael’s on Friday and I was being very good sticking to my list.  Really.  I was.  I even went to the styrofoam aisle to get styrofoam balls.   Jokes on me ~ look what they had.

IMG_5509_2813

It’s already covered!  Can you believe it!?!  I could have avoided burnt fingers and a blister  . . .

Anyway, while I was in aisles I wasn’t supposed to be in {seriously, 50% off some great stuff and I couldn’t help myself} I found these three things.

IMG_5510_2814

One of them has nothing whatsoever to do with the other two, except that I liked it and I thought I’d group them together as a giveaway.  First, this  lovely journal.  Aren’t the colors great?

IMG_5511_2815

This little storage box with a crown on it.  We all know how we love that crown motif!  You could hide your chocolate in there.  Well, that’s what I would do.

IMG_5513_2817

Finally, this little hook that also has a crown.  It is actually from the same Parisian line that makes the box.

Oh, and the celebration ~ I recently started a boutique blog to sell some of the items I make and some lovely things I come across that I think others might like for their homes.  I only have a few things up at the moment, but I hope you’ll check it out every so often and see if there is anything you might like.

To enter this giveaway, just leave me a comment, and maybe you could let me know that I am not the only one that get’s distracted from her shopping list when there are 50% off signs displayed.

To get additional entries you can:

  • Tweet about this giveaway and leave a separate comment letting me know the link or your @ name;
  • Blog about or post this giveaway on your sidebar and leave a separate comment letting me know;

This giveaway is open in the U.S. and Canada.  You must leave an email address in your comment if you do not have a blog where I can contact you.  This giveaway will be open until April 15, 2010, at 8:00 p.m., EST, and the winner will be announced shortly thereafter.

  12. Those are so cute. I always have good intentions of following my list but get side tracked with the good deals I always seem to find. It's hard to pass up pretty things at 50% or more off.

  14. In Washington we have Ben Franklin Crafts, or as we call it Fren Branklin, (no idea why).

If I get out of there for less than $100 bucks, I've done well!

I'd love to win your little giveaway, especially on "tax day" since Uncle Sam is seriously going to cut into my crafting monies this year! Ackkk!

Okay, signing up for Silver Bella kind of took a chunk too!

  16. BTW~ you know what would be so fun?! We should get a group of blogger/designers together and do a post similar to the one I did today. We would all get the same picture, and design direction and do a post on what we would do.Then we could all post it on the same day and encourage everyone to see the gallery of ideas!

  21. Kathy,
Your topiary ball was let’s just say more organic! Joann’s and Michaels are like a worm hole in the universe. I get sucked inside and can’t find my way out for hours. Heaven forbid if I have to take my husband on some rare occasion he gets pale and sweaty, similar to the look he gets waiting for me in the lingerie department!
    Cathy
P.S. Thanks for the cute giveaway!

  35. A trip to Michaels......

    1.) make list of needs

    2.) cut out coupon

3.) Tell Hubby I will be right back, just running to Michael's for a couple of things.

4.) Look stunned at the face Hubby gives me.

    5.) Get to Michael's

6.) Look for list and coupon

7.) Remember it is on the kitchen table

8.) Since I am there, I should check out the clearance stuff

9.) Gleefully leave Michaels with 2 bags of 'deals"

10.) Get home, read list and say to self, "Oh yeah! THAT was what I needed!"

    Rinse and repeat next week!

  40. I'm so glad that I'm not the only one who takes the time to make out shopping lists, clip coupons only to find that I've left everything at home when I get to the store.

Thanks for finding the already covered, moss styrofoam ball - I was just about to begin to work on one. Now I just need to find my Michael's coupon, remember to put it in my purse and head off to the store.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I was in Michaels yesterday and saw those moss balls, $4.99 I think. I'll probably go back and get a few (with coupons of course) to make some topiaries.

  42. So fun Kathy! You are an entrepreneur!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Oh, Kathy, I'm sure you've realized that you are most certainly not the only one who strays from her list. Many times, I get so lost in the aisles I'm not supposed to be in, I totally leave without getting what I went for in the first place!

Can't wait to check out your new little store! I'm sure you'll have it stocked with some real great stuff.

  46. When one of my daughters was learning to read and we were out shopping, she loudly announced to everyone in earshot "Mom, here's your brand...it says CLEARANCE!" My list usually starts with "clearance" and I never "Know what I need" til I SEE it! lol
    Have a great weekend!

  51. I had to laugh because there are times when I go in Michael's just to cruise the $1 bins for goodies to give to friends who stop by. We call them "sussies." LOVE the "hide your chocos" in this box. Like the other things too, but that box caught my eye. Have a happy weekend.

  52. Love your finds and especially the fact that this go around you will not have to get blisters! Be blessed. Cindy

  53. Don't worry, you are not the only one that gets distracted! I went to Wally World late last night for razors and shower gel. I came home with two more plastic organizer boxes for emboridery floss and two pints of Ben & Jerry's (Cookie Dough and Phish Food, just so you know.)!

I am an awesome shopper that still needs some razors. It was jeans for me today! :D (T.M.I., I know.)

  62. Too funny, I wanted to buy the little pink shutter with the crown when I was at Michael's a couple of weeks ago but they only had one left and it was broken! =( This is so exciting! And yes, obviously, I am always distracted (for hours I might add) looking at every nook and cranny in the store for those awesome clearance deals! You would be a great friend to go and 'hunt' with!
