I did a second tablescape with my dollar store placemats, except this time I moved it into my kitchen table. It’s brighter in here, too, so the pictures should come out better. I forgot I even had this set of dishes and mugs, until I was putting together my dining room tablescape.
I love the blue and white harlequin pattern in the center of these great botanical designs. Below is a floral centerpiece I bought recently from Kristen at Kristen’s Creations. I love the colors she used and the bird nesting in the middle!
I set this up as if it were a brunch. Mugs for tea or coffee and small dishes for a danish or muffin. Mmm, sounds good to me!
This great little bunny dish I found in the cabinet {something else I forgot I had}. A lovely spot to place those danish or muffins.
The little cream dish below is one of those that came in a gift basket at Christmas one year. Sometimes they come in horrible colors {which I’ve kept anyway}, but this one was one I knew I would actually use. This one could hold a couple of muffins.
Here is the mug to the dish set. No harlequin pattern on this, but I love how they incorporated the blue into the rim, bottom and handle.
Close-up of the plate. Nice shape, too, isn’t it?
Such a happy, Springy setting!
No silverware or napkins, again. Apparently, we use our fingers and sleeves in this house. {Sigh}, I always forget the silverware and napkins.

Love it!! I didn't even notice the missing silverware. That would be something I would do. I wish my local dollar store had good placemats again, they had them a few years ago but not since, grrr. And I love the dishes. I have an old set of china that was my grandmother's that still stored waiting for use.
ReplyDeleteYou dishes are lovely, Kathy. The bunny plate is too charming! Pretty table, even without the napkin and flatware. ;)
