Decorating With ~ Mannequins

mannequinpicPB Teen

I was recently in Pier 1 and noticed that they had some decorative mannequins on display.  This made me realize that I have been seeing them in a lot of stores and on a lot of blogs lately.

I thought I’d see just how many places we could find these popular forms.  Prices seem to vary although Amazon seemed to offer the lowest price on their selection.

What an interesting accent piece if you are putting together a sewing room for yourself or as a gift for someone who sews.  For fashion conscious teens {or adults} they serve double duty as an accessory and something to hold your accessories.

  4. Hi Kathy,
I have been looking for a lifesize mannequin for my booth but can't find one I can afford.
The little ones are so sweet and they look good on tabletops.
I'll keep looking, I know I'll find one.

  8. Hi Kathy,
These are all really cute! I always liked the large ones, but these small ones could be working into a room easier.
Also thanks for your kind words about my daughter Heather, keeping our fingers crossed.
    Hugs, Cathy

  10. My Mom was a dress designer so I grew up with a dress form in the house. I find something very friendly about them. Fun post. Hope you'll stop by again at Atticmag. Jane F.

  14. I just saw several of them on sale at Ross. They ran around $39. I don't sew, but if I did I think it would look adorable in my sewing room.

  15. I actually just bought a little larger one from TJ Maxx so I can show off my knitted cowls and scarves I'm knitting. I also have a small one for jewelry that my friend gave me last year, I love it :)

  16. Love those dress forms. Have you ever seen the ones Monica makes over at the White Bench? She makes the most incredible ones, very girly and so romantic! I love all of them, I have a wrought iron one but would love a larger one!!!

  19. We found some "full size" at the thrift store from a ladies store that went out of business. They have been fun to dress for holidays and events. Last week I brought home one the size for a dollhouse. Now it sits on my desk waiting for inspiration to strike.

  20. Cute post--interesting, too!
I found a life-sized mannequin for my younger daughter at a yard sale (!), she actually puts the outfits on it the night before she wants to wear something for the next day!1 She's my planner!
Hers looks similar to the Kohl's one.
    Hugs, sweetie!
