Since I’ve been a little busy lately {client, baby shower, day job, cleaning up outside mess made by hubby when he did the siding}, I haven’t had much time to do any projects. I do have a big one coming up after the shower. I’ll be painting my white front door and sidelights black. Well, it’s a big project to me.
Meanwhile, so it doesn’t look like I fell off the face of the earth, I thought I’d share some random photos {plus I needed to clear them off my camera card}. I finally found something I liked for the background of my Welcome print. That’s done and hanging up now.
I bought an Ektorp slipcover for one of our Ektorp chairs {which I’ve had for about 15 years}. What a great buy for $29.00! I decided it made the living room look too crowded so it’s back upstairs in our bedroom’s sitting area.
Finally, some pictures of our backyard, which I’ve been trying to pretty up a bit for the baby shower, as well as for us when we are out there.
I was spray painting our front door lanterns that day.
That’s all I got for now. Baby Shower is next Saturday!
My Celebration Giveaway is still running! Ends June 9th!

Hi Kathy!
ReplyDeleteOh!!
I would just wanna live in your gazebo!
And your living room! What lovely changes!
I especially love the damask chair--warm cozy and inviting--maybe I'd live in that room, too!
I pray you have a wonderfully blessed day with the baby shower!
A baby is such a gift!
I have a red front door, and have actually been pondering painting it black--the original color--I'm gonna wait till I see yours--no pressure ;)
Hugs to you!
Kathy your home is just beautiful! I didn't realize you had the white slipcovers? They really look pretty and stylish. Gorgeous! :)

Your backyard is gorgeous! Our builder did nothing to our yard except plant grass and give us a tiny patio. I'd love a yard like this.
ReplyDeleteBTW, we have a black front door and I love it!
Love your slipcovers Kathy. I wish I could have white but with all the furbabies and kids that come in/out of my home [revolving door], white would be a major disaster! You have a gorgeous back yard. Love the gazebo!
ReplyDeleteI bet you are getting so excited about the baby! I was on pins and needles the last few weeks and am sure I drove everyone around me crazy! I am looking forward to seeing pictures from the shower.
~ Tracy

Love the gazebo! I've always wanted one in the middle of my yard! I love black doors and I think yours will look great painted. You've had your chairs 15 years! I have the sofa and I'm very happy with it and all the slipcovers available. I've been looking at the chairs for a few years now. Good to know they still look great after all these years.
ReplyDeleteManuela
Gosh, I love your yard. I love the look of pavers being used for patios or driveways and walkways. Just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYour entry looks wonderful. All your hard work was worth it.. I am so jealous~! I want a gazebo and yours looks great...
