I went to Pier 1 this past weekend for a couple of reasons, but I do like to stop in from time to time anyway to check out their clearance items. This trip netted me lots of stationary products and some items to use as gifts for Christmas. Perhaps even as a giveaway. {Hmmmm. . . .}
Two desk sets, two different prices, but they were both a bargain.
They had a bunch of cards on sale, some birthday, some thank you, and some are blank inside. I picked up several for various occasions and I’ll use them to start my stash to have on hand. These will be going in the card box I found at Goodwill a month or so ago {and just did a scrapbook paper on the top to make it more me}.
Love these stoppers! At least one of these {one of the clock ones} is destined for a gift. These were not on clearance, but were $4.95 and $4.50 (middle one).
Chandy magnets for under $2.00 for the package.
Little pocket pads with the magnetic closure. Love these! Also not on sale, but still a good price I thought at $4.95. Here’s the outside.
Here’s the inside.
These cards are so colorful and I like that they are in plastic sleeves. I will probably keep them like this when I store them. The most expensive card was $2.16, most were $1.00 and the least expensive was $.68 {the feather and nest card for a new homeowner}.
I’m pretty happy about these purchases. Two things I didn’t get in the picture are a chandy/bird paper weight {regularly priced} and a pink chandy wrapping paper {also regular price}. This is the time of year when I start sporadically looking around and if I see something that I think would make a good Christmas gift, I pick it up. The only problem with this is that I need to remember where I put it come Christmas time!
Ah Kathy, I do the same thing. I can't remember where I stash my stash. I usually go into panic mode until I can stop long enough to remember! LOL!
ReplyDeleteI love all of your cards and papers. I didn't realize they carried all these wonderful things. It's been a long time since I've been to Pier1 and I'm going to have to go and check out the deals.
hugs

those paris note pads are so cute!!
ReplyDeleteLove the chandy's! So cute! I have an interview with them this weekend! They do have awesome sales!
ReplyDeleteLast January, I scored BIG TIME at Pier One's clearance. I got several cute Christmas gift boxes for like 10 and 25 cents, but my favorite was the big wooden snowflake on a stand that I snagged for $2. I think it had been over $10, which I would have NEVER paid for it. Love me some clearance!
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy, love all your cards, looks like you found some great buys!!! Blessings~~~ Daphne

Love the stoppers. Kathy you really scored big here. Although if I had that much stationary I would feel guilty if I didn't start writing right away to all my closet friends! You have your work cut out for you! haha

Hi Kathy,
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting on my blog yesterday. In answer to your question, I think Ravenhill's little dolls would be suitable for a baby's first doll. Although I have not actually touched one, they do claim to be 100% cotton, so I would expect them not to be too rough. They probably would be easy to wipe down to avoid dust as well. You could always email her directly to find out her opinion. She does have little children, so I'm sure she would be honest with you.
Love your haul from Pier One. Definitely one of my favorite shops.
Have a wonderful weekend, my fellow native New Yorker! ;)

Wow! You did VERY well. I too am already thinking about Christmas.
ReplyDeleteWow, that is a great clearance stash. I got some cards from our clearance Pier 1 bucket back in the Spring and need to find the bag. I am gonna agree with you about my front entry piece. I'll tap you on the shoulder to come look when I'm done. :)
ReplyDeleteYour encouragement is gonna make it happen soon.

ReplyDeleteHi Kathy, Looks like some great stuff! I love the clock bottle stoppers. I found some great knobs with clock faces at Michaels yesterday in their dollar bin. I don't have anywhere to use them right now but I they were so cute I couldn't pass them up.
