I came across the Pantone Colorstrology site through two other blogs I was visiting earlier today. Of course, once you’ve clicked through several blogs {some from others’ comments, some from blogs listed on other blogger’s blog rolls} you lose track. At any rate, I remembered the website and thought you might like to test this out.
Part of what they say on the website is:
“It is important to understand that your birth color and your favorite color may not be one in the same. Your birth color is designed to honor the real you.”
Who knows how accurate it really is. It’s one of those fun things to do and if you agree with it, you’ll say, “Oh my gosh, it’s got me dead on”, but if you don’t agree with the outcome, it will be one of those things you pooh-pooh and get on with life.
My birthday, October 31st, came up with:
“Your courage and persistence will help you attain many of life’s blessings. Once you are interested in something, you have the necessary willpower and tenacity to attain it. Seeing the fruits of your labor is vital to your well-being. You are a born detective and appreciate a challenge. Wearing, meditating or surrounding yourself with Tibetan Red helps you sink your teeth into something while keeping you lighthearted and flexible during the journey”.
I will agree with the detective and challenge part, as well as that once I am interested in something I will try to go after it. However, it is not vital to me to see the fruits of my labor ~ nice, but not vital.
If nothing else, it’s a novel way to bring an interest to some new paint color names.
By the way, I bought those flash drives two years ago as Christmas gifts for my kids and co-workers at the day job. Loved the choice of colors and I had a few monogrammed. I think everything else shown here is also available for purchase. If you have a designer/decorator on your gift list, you may be able to find something for them here.
So, what’s your birth color?

Quick local business update: My Fall 2010 Adult Education Class at Mount Sinai High School is scheduled for Thursday, October 14, 2010, at 7:30 p.m. The brochure lists the class running for 2 hours, but it is 1 hour. The class will cover “Top Decorating Mistakes”. You can obtain a registration form from the brochure you receive in the mail or online at the school’s website.
Fun! Thanks for the links to this. I love this sort of thing, lol.

ReplyDeleteMine is Daybreak. Not my usual choice in color but it said: You are person who is bright and caring. You have a giving nature and are a supportive friend. You reach great heights when you are stimulated and inspired. It is important for you to pursue your dreams with practical tenacity or you may feel restless or dissatisfied.
ReplyDeleteThe last two sentences are pretty spot on - not that the first two aren't too ha!

Hi Kathy!
ReplyDeleteVery interesting. Mine is Calla Green, which really isn't one of my favorite color. It said I have a way with words! LOL.

Mine was bud green. So funny, as I adore green! It said that if I wore dill green, it would bring courage. Not sure about that, but I know that I feel good when I wear just about any shade of green :)
ReplyDeleteThat was very interesting. The month of September is baja blue. Which I always have loved darker blues and for my birthday, the 10th, it is jadesheen which is a green very similar to my kitchen color and I love greens. Your birthday is the same day as my sister's.
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy, Thank you for stopping by! I also love the little scene behind glass and keep it up all year. A super idea, I took the doors off of a glass jewelry cabinet from the thrift store because I loved the molding detail. The knob is a cute detail now at the bottom, perfect for hanging something from. The vintage Christmas card is tacked on the back, my idea is to glass etch around the sticky letters and then pull them off. (I've been too chicken to try, yet!) I used the other glass door to frame vintage Valentines. Etsy shop - I just can't imagine making multiples of items-EEK! I do give so much away when my craft room fills up; so please be on the look out. Thank you so much for stopping by! Elizabeth
ReplyDeleteHello Kathy,
ReplyDeleteI am Juniper. I agree with most of it. Although I surround myself with blues reflecting the varying colors of the sea, I really like greens. Although, I am rather picky about the tones of green I like. At first when it said juniper I was not too sure, but when I kept looking at it with its blue undertone, I thought yeah, okay, that makes sense. That was fun and interesting! Thanks for the links!

That's fun! I've got to check that out. This is the first I've heard of it, and I'm a sucker for stuff like that. Thanks, Kathy! Have a great weekend. :-)
