New Tabletop Items & Randomness

I thought I’d start off by sharing a picture of part of our yard from Sunday morning.   More snow is, apparently, expected Tuesday.  I hate when the word “snow” is bandied about with the word “storm”.

Here is my nod to Valentine’s Day decorating.  I can’t find the few Valentine’s Day things I made last year.  I, obviously, need a better storage system.  I still can’t find my stocking holders!

My house is still not “back to normal” yet, but I did want to share two things I had purchased from Polly at Make Mine Beautiful last month.  I really like the white pieces with the greenery.   This is the hutch in my dining room.

Disregard the whiskey decanter.  We don’t drink that; I just like the decanter.

Polly added some lovely embellishments that still allow it to be simple, yet is perfect for me.   This is probably the only “tabletop” that is done and not changing at this point in time.  I have empty cloches begging for attention though!

I also had bought these wooden chargers from Pier 1 last week.  Isn’t the shape great?  I love them!  I wish they had been cheaper than $12.99 each, but I bought three and hope to do something with them {other than use them as chargers}.    They are a really nice size and if I decide to go with one idea, two would hang nicely vertically on a slice of wall in my dining room.  We’ll see.

One does work great as a base for a cloche display.

I bought the little desk and chair from Marsha at Sassy Mini Dolls, just recently.   She included the little desktop items as a gift.   A tabletop display on top of a tabletop display!

It’s too cute!   I love it!

  4. Oh Kathy, everything is so pretty, but you know that I am totally drooling over the cloche and that tiny desk and chair under it. So pretty on the new charger and that tiny little present. So much fun. I love your topiaries also and the use of the black and white ribbon. Pretty, pretty, pretty. Thanks so much for joining TTT. Hugs, Marty

  5. Those chargers are amazing! The very reason I need to stay out of that store :)) I can't find my Valentine decorations either, or New Year's for that matter. Glad I'm not the only one!
    Cheers,

  6. The chargers are so pretty. When I saw them it reminded me of some white plates that the owner had monogramed with fancy script letters she ordered from a website. Those chargers have all kinds of possibilities so you've probably made a good investment. Enjoy!

  9. Kathy that miniture desk is so cute and sooo you! The little gift bag totally makes me think it could be your desk. Your chargers are wonderful and I was thinking it would be a great base for your cloches before you even said it. I like your greenery from Polly too. 12. Oh yes Snow and Storm always come with a little feeling of dread. Our weather said Freezing rain and ice this Sunday luckily it was not as bad as I had feared.
I love the chargers even at the price they are beautiful. I have a similar little white creamer I love the greenery in the one you bought from Polly.
Hey depending on the day that decanter may come in handy! lol

  17. Kathy!
I think the chargers were as steal! Such character!
Once this snow goes away, I am headed to Pier 1 to see if ours carries those!
My 3 cloches need plates, too! :)
I love miniatures and yours is simply darling!
I went to Sassy mini Dolls, and couldn't figure out where her "store" is.
    Can you help me?
    Thank you!
    HUGS and blessings!

Cute tiny desk-perfect under the cloche.

  22. What a surprise to see 'my' pieces on your blog today. I think they look great where you have them. Seeing that little pitcher again I think I need to make another one for myself. I love the way it looks setting against the dark wood. That you for the reference and links.

Oh, and I love that little cloche. As popular as cloches are, I can't seem to find them in the stores right now. Know where I can find three identical ones with varying heights that are the basic style?

  23. Hi Kathy, The white pitcher is adorable and I love the little desk and chair under the cloche. I got these same chargers for my birthday last year and use them all the time.
