Julie from Less Than Perfect Life of Bliss is having a paint color party today and I’m sharing one of my favorite colors ~ Sherwin Williams’ Martha Stewart Milk Pail. I used it in my master bedroom and, while its been a few years now, I still love it.
I’m even looking to use it when we downsize to another house. Out of all the colors I have had in my master bedroom, I have found this one to be the most relaxing and calming out of the bunch.
It is a blue grey color and it works well with dark or light colored furniture. I know, because I have both in my bedroom! My dresser is from our original bedroom set and the side tables {which you can see in the above pictures are dark}.
There you have it. One of my very favorite paint colors. I’m looking forward to seeing what everyone else’s favorite colors are!
Kathy
Very pretty, Kathy! I like the color because it is very calming. Great job! Have a wonderful day! XOXO ~Liz
ReplyDeleteI love this color! Thanks for sharing it.
ReplyDeleteLove your bedroom, Kathy! And thank you for sharing your favorite color. Awhile back we painted our master bathroom and one of the colors is a blue but it came out too dark. Problem is picking a color to go with tile color in shower and the floor (totally different but they both have gray in them) and I think yours may be just the ticket!! I fear though I'll have to paint, ha ha ha, as when I mentioned it to hubby he said, the color is just fine, I LIKE it, ha ha ha ha, that means don't ask me to repaint!

Gorgeous! Love your bedding, too.
ReplyDeleteLove this color! Your bedroom is so soothing with this color on the wall. Thanks for sharing at the paint party.
ReplyDeleteThat color is so very calming! I love shades of blue in a bedroom. Mine is headed that direction but of course a little darker as I am a big fan of rich color. I just love your room and the simplicity of it. No stress!! Mine has stuff in the corner and goodwill pile in another corner! Once it gets decorated, it will stay calming!! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteOh Kathy, I love that color... I have several pictures of the blue/ gray color that I keep in a folder, for when I start painting around here... I want to paint our master bedroom that color too!!!

This color looks fantastic in your bedroom...I like the sound of it, too. I painted my bath in a very, very light gray called Teardrop and I love the name of that, too!
ReplyDeleteHow do you keep your nightstands so neat?!!!

Kathy, I love this color. I'm in the process of a design plan for our master bedroom and this color just might work! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day,
Gail
What a beautiful bedroom...so serene and inviting Kathy! I will be checking Milk Pail out at Sherwin Williams. I am looking for a grey-blue color as a possibility for our dining room. My favorite color is Sherwin Williams Latte. It's a true taupe color...no yellow, no green in it. Our family room is painted in that color as is my craft studio. I never tire of it. Thanks for sharing this info.

I love the color too, Kathy! And I do love your bedroom design. I've admired it since the first time I saw here on your blog. I especially like the different furniture finishes in the room. I'm a big fan of furniture NOT being all matchy-matchy.
ReplyDeleteAs you may remember, I just recently repainted my bedroom in the pale, calm blue family and I'm loving it too! I
Hi Kathy! Your bedroom is beautiful. I love that color. We had a pale blue bedroom in our last home with a navy accent wall. I miss it still!
