Let me start off by saying that this headboard may not be to everyone’s tastes, and that’s fine, we are all entitled to our opinions. However, it has taken me four years to find a headboard because there was nothing really interesting or different about the ones I have seen. This one is different and has interest to spare!
Ready . . .
I got this headboard at the thrift store where I got my chair. It was $120.00, which, believe me, is the cheapest I’ve seen around for a Queen size headboard. I thought it might have been part of a set that included the chair I got and showed here, but the coloring on the headboard seems darker than the chair. They were nowhere near each other in the thrift store either, but who knows.
These were the best pictures I could get because, let me tell you, this son of a gun is heavy and I used my strength for the day getting it down off the top of my Ford Explorer! By myself! Right into the garage and here it will sit until I get some assistance and drag it outside for painting.
I think some Heirloom White with a glaze will really transform this headboard. Looking at it after it was in my garage, I also thought it would probably take to turquoise well, too, but that’s not how I roll, so Heirloom White it is!
I’m participating in the 5th Annual Cottage Charm Giveaway, which runs through until May 29th. Please come by and enter ~ I’m giving away one of my ruffled table runners!
