I finally had a day to start and actually finish a couple of my larger projects. The first one was the little table and chairs I picked up ~ free ~ curbside from an old childhood friend of my daughter’s. It seemed fitting as my daughter sat at this table playing tea with her friend. Here is a picture of it right after I picked it up to refresh your memory.
A sunny but breezy day had me outside with these pieces, as well as a few others. I tried the Kilz primer spray paint on this and the jury is still out on whether or not I like it. Here it is primed and already looking cottagey!
After a couple of coats of Heirloom White spray paint, a brush on from the quart size, a coat of wipe on poly and this project was done! Bonus ~ I didn’t make the lawn look like a football field either!
I put it in one of our spare bedrooms and I couldn’t resist setting it up for tea to show it off!
I set up the little shelf piece I transformed from this post, but only put out a couple of the teapots.
I had a left over piece of fabric from my runners that fit this table perfectly! So I added a ruffle to each end and added it to the table.
I added a few Alice in Wonderland themed things I won from Cindy at Whimsical Musings to the upper shelving.
I still want to make cushions for the chairs out of the Alice in Wonderland fabric I purchased a few months ago, but that will wait until after all my furniture projects are done. All in all, I’m quite pleased with the way it turned out!
Don’t forget to enter my Cottage Charm Giveway here! I’m offering a full sized triple ruffled runner!
