A Long Awaited Finish

Last year {or maybe even the year before}, I made this ottoman/tuffet/stool.  It has taken me until now to find a trim to add to it to finish it off!

I’ve looked during that whole time and just never found anything I liked.  I found these two trims at Hobby Lobby the other day.

I’ll be using the flat trim over the top edge of the fringe and ribbon trim to give it a more finished look.  You can see how it just looks unfinished on its own.

I think it was worth the wait to find this trim.  Now I just have to figure out where, in the living room, I’m going to put it!

    YES it was worth the wait because you just KNEW you would find what would polish it off to perfection.

    I agree with Marsha - it was definitely worth the wait because that trim fits perfectly. It looks beautiful. You should sell those in your Etsy shop!

    What a precious stool! I know how it is with needing just the "right" finishing touch. I can wait it out for months until I find just the right thing. Your wait proved very worthwhile, that trim is perfect!
