If you remember when we first moved into our new place at the end of September, I mentioned that this sunroom would definitely be getting painted.
Well, it was started last week. I finally decided on SW Interactive Cream and hubby did it {and the ceiling} over the course of two days. Here it is during.
I am so glad to see that green gone. I do like green, but not this particular shade. Here is the room totally painted.
While I was visiting in New York, he moved all the furniture back in, but since we are going to be getting some kind of new flooring soon, I decided to hold off on putting most of my accessories back for now.
I didn’t get to show you our new sectional before because I was waiting for this painting to get done. We started out with two chairs in here, and even though it’s just the two of us, we really needed a little more seating. Sometimes the daughter and SIL come over and we all watch a movie.
We all four can actually fit on here, although we did keep a chair in here that we just swing around for movie night. This way everyone has room to spread out and get comfy.
I’m still stumped on the window treatments I want to do. I’ve been back and forth, for the past several months, between stationery panels, valances, and back to stationery panels. I feel valances creeping back in though. I think with all these windows you can understand the indecisiveness.
While the bookcases look a bit wanting right now, I am so glad we got rid of that green! I like this color so much better.
Great color Kathy! I love that room and would really enjoy it, and decorating it. You will have fun with that! Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteOh Kathy, I love that color too, it is so pretty. I am not a real green fan, just a few small doses is good for me. The new color looks fabulous and the sofa is perfect. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteIt looks great! The room looks so much brighter. Great choice on the color.
ReplyDeleteI love the new color Kathy!!
ReplyDeleteGreat color choice! I like green to, but it has to be the right color. In the house we are renting every room is painted the same color green. It is a sage color and very drab....
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to having my own home again, so I can choose the color, and we have only been renting two months-lol.
Like the new paint color. It's very warm and inviting.
ReplyDeleteLooks great! I like it better than the green. Very cozy now!

ReplyDeleteHi Kathy,
ReplyDeleteYour sunroom looks beautiful. I love the new color. Great looking sofa too! Stationery panels would be beautiful. I love your pretty windows. It took me a long time to decide on window treatments for my sunroom.

What a fabulous transformation, Kathy! I can see that you took “functionality” into consideration while transforming this room. It can be a great place for gatherings, or a “me-time” moment. You can also make this your personal office.
