Thrifted Chalkboard ~ Not For Kids Anymore!

Finally!  I get to use the great Menu graphic from The Graphics Fairy.  I have had this saved for so long waiting for a project I could use it on.

I found this chalkboard at Goodwill the same day I found the bulletin board

Very cute the way it is, but it’s getting a makeover.

I painted it in Old White chalk paint and then highlighted the outside area {where it had been a brownish gold previously} with some Provence.  Here it is paint dry, image added and ready for some wax!

I did the Mod Podge transfer method for adding the Menu graphic to the top.

Here she is with clear and dark wax.   The chalkboard freshly wiped.

  10. Great job! I need to give this a try. I have about 15 graphics printed out with my inkjet but I have to go and get them copied at Kinkos so the ink doesn't run. I keep forgetting to get them copied!
