The Front Porch For Christmas

2012 12 01_9544

Everything is smaller in a condo! That includes the front porch area.  I used a mix of old and new decorations in this area, but in keeping with the inside, it is simple.

It seems that this condo community keeps things simple anyway.  There are a few people that do lights along their fences {those with patios in lieu of sunrooms} or wreaths on all their windows, but for the most part it is a quietly decorated community.

I added my final touch yesterday.  A small wreath from my Goodwill finds that I added some poinsettia garland to, with a battery operated timer candle, to the bistro table.

I was hoping my PB duvet cover on back order would be in by now, so I could do the second part of my Christmas tour.  Didn’t happen.  I’ll wrap that up and share it next week though.

  7. You have a porch? LOL I live in a small 50's ranch house. I don't have a porch, I have a cement slab, AND I haven't done a thing out there. Love what you did with your small space, Kathy.

  8. I think your porch looks great...sometimes understated works best anyway!

I really liked your urn filled with winter goodness.

I also wanted to tell you that the presents for my tea society gals (posted about our tea today) went over REALLY WELL and they loved those gorgeous holiday tea towels you made, Kathy. Thanks so much for making such pretty things for us to share love in gift form.

  9. Hi Kathy,
How simply sweet and welcoming. You do such a wonderful job with a small space. I would probably clutter it up to where you couldn't get in the door.

I also ordered a PB duvet cover and had it monogrammed. I'm still waiting.

    hugs
    Sissie
