I have a few projects I’ve been working on to share today. One is this simple stool I found at Goodwill. It was perfect with its white base.
After a cleaning, all I had to do was paint the top with French Linen chalk paint and I added a Paris stencil. I’m going to give it a light sanding and put a coat of clear wax on top.
The second piece was inspired by a footstool I had seen on the Ballard Design website. This one, which was originally $149.00, but is now $89.00. It’s about the same size, too.
I found this footstool, just begging for a makeover.
Two coats of black satin paint on the base and some French Document fabric {from Ballard’s and it’s the $14.99 a yard one} and I’ve got my own for considerably less.
Why the “quickly” in my title? Well, it’s because I’ve finally found an antique mall that is not far from me with available booth space! I’ve rented a space and I need to get it filled. I’m paying for April so the faster I fill it, the better! These two pieces are just a start. I need to find some larger pieces, like a table, a chest or dresser and I was thinking a small bookcase might be good. Because the floor is just cement and I don’t really have time to paint or do anything else with it, I ordered this diamond patterned area rug from Walmart.
I should have this by Monday or Tuesday. I’ve already brought some things that can be hung on the wall and will be adding to the booth for the next couple of weeks. I will post a picture in the near future so you can follow along with me as I set up my booth. This is my first booth and I’m really excited about this new venture!

Have fun filling up your booth my friend. I think I'm getting something, too (per your comment on my blog). I feel achy and crummy. My hubbs is out of town and THAT is probably why I don't feel well. I hate it when he's gone.
