I’ve had this jewelry armoire for several years now. My husband bought it for me for Christmas one year and it was the closest thing I could find {for a reasonable amount of money} with that cream color.
I never really cared for the flowers and their color didn’t go with either of our master bedrooms. Since I had the can of Old White open painting tables recently, I took that opportunity to give it a refresh. Plus, seeing a couple of painted jewelry armoires on Pinterest gave me the push to just do it.
I painted the drawers in Old White and the surround in Duck Egg. You may {or may not} know that I painted a Craig’s List find dresser in Duck Egg with Old White in some of the detailing.
Then I painted an accent table with the same colors to tie it into the room.
The jewelry armoire is on the opposite side of the room from the table and I thought that besides refreshing it, it would also help bring some of the Duck Egg color over to that side of the room. I love the two-tone color scheme. Because the hardware was not removable, I had painted over them. I came back in when it was all done and used some Antique Gold Rub N Buff on them.
Some clear and dark wax {FYI: do the Rub N Buff after you wax}. Now I feel it fits in better with the rest of the room.
It certainly wasn’t a project I needed to add to my list at this point, but I’m glad I got it done.
