I’m really not sure how to categorize this table. It’s bigger than a side table, shorter than a sofa table, and smaller than even the smallest kitchen table. I acquired {I say “acquired” because it’s a long story that involved tag switching and this was my suggested resolution to offset my loss} this from the antique mall where I have my booth.
Since colors don’t sell well for me in my booth I decided to do this table in black. I painted the whole thing using CeCe Caldwell’s Beckley Coal.
Because it just looked too plain with the black paint, I wanted something to put on the top. I decided to use one of the stencils I already have.
This paint definitely needs some clear wax otherwise it looks very flat and dull. This piece is heading to my booth.
I think this table is versatile enough to be used in a number of ways ~ as a desk, an entry/foyer table, a tea table, and even a kitchen island.
Hopefully, someone will see the potential and take it home with them!
Hi! Just read your comment about the Bunny Pillow. definitely interested. I just ordered a couple things from your Etsy. I am still making up my mind about tea towels.(The voice on my head is saying "I want them ALL") Can you hold mailing the stuff I ordered until we work out the Bunny pillow then mail together?
ReplyDeleteCute table. I love it, you did a great job of redoing it too. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteGreat table! I am sure it will fly out of your booth!

ReplyDeleteHave to say it is stunning in black,
what an improvement..........
I am sure it will sell right away.
Great job......
Blessings,
Nellie
That is a nice table now that you have painted/stenciled it. I didn't care much for it in its original state either. I think the black paint gives it a lot more presence.
ReplyDeleteToo bad about the tag switching. What is wrong with people!!!???!!! xo Diana
I love it as a kitchen island! I'm sure that won't last in your booth for very long. Who the heck switched tags? A customer or someone working there???? Craziness.

It's cute! On your specialized tag do you put suggestions for its use? It seems like you have good ideas on how to use a piece.
