If I wait for the weather to dictate when I put out Spring and Easter décor this year it could be August! I pulled everything out this past weekend and here is some of the décor around the house to shove nudge Spring along.
I didn’t buy anything new this year because we are budgeting as we look to the retirement years.
On our hall tree in our entryway I placed a nest on a candlestick, some faux lilacs and a child’s Spring bonnet.
My Fitz & Floyd sugar bowl and creamer that I try to find a spot for every year.
This bunny I made many years ago. I’m surprised it’s held up this long!
The tote on the coffee table in the living room is the same as I did last year.
Except for the glittered eggs, which I won through a giveaway by Heidi Devlin.
I added this lady bunny to our sunroom. She was a clearance find from last year.
These two bunny pieces I have out all year long {as I do most of my bunnies} on the bookshelves in our sunroom. They keep company with all my decorating books.
Also in the sunroom, I filled this mini bird cage with some eggs. My 3 1/2-year-old granddaughter will be playing with this while it is out!
Simple additions in the dining area.
Along with a simple faux floral arrangement for the table.
One of my favorite areas in our home. Because of the open floor plan you can see it from most of the rooms in our condo.
Finally, on the kitchen counter. This is pretty much the only addition as I have three chef bunnies that are out all year round in the kitchen.
These bunnies are actually salt and pepper shakers, another Fitz & Floyd set, that work well for this particular purpose. That’s it until we get a little closer to Easter, when I will pick up some daffodils and/or tulips to add in. I will probably use them on the dining table in place of the faux arrangement that is currently there.
Hopefully, this will give Mother Nature the hint that Winter is over!
Love the nests and the eggs in the different cloches. Every inch of your Easter is simply Springtime.
ReplyDeleteEverything is so pretty and I absolutely love those egg pictures. So pretty. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteYou have beautiful home furnishings and your Easter touches look so nice with them. LOVE your bunny pic and all the bunnies surrounding it! Happy Easter to you too! Blessings~~~Roxie
ReplyDeleteLove all your touches Kathy. That small birdcage is darling and the cloche. The glitter eggs are neat. I had to laugh at your opening line. Isn't it the truth, this is horrible weather.

Lovely! And true, I feel like we should be pulling out Christmas Decos!

Loooove your bunny treasures! And those bunnies in lettuce are beyond sweet. Your home is sooo lovely!
ReplyDeleteSeriously, let's hope Mother Nature gets her act together. Love your spring/Easter touches. Especially that lil birdcage with the eggs. I want to play with it, it's so cute! And I'm not 3 1/2. =)

Everything looks lovely, Kathy. LOVE the Fitz & Floyd pieces-as well as everything else. They are some of my favorites. I have slowed down on buying more "stuff", too. I know that in retirement I am looking to get rid of some "stuff"...and I have TONS of Easter stuff. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteLove the Fitz and Floyd additions! I'm not really doing any Easter decorations per se this year due to the move. Frankly, I'm not even sure where it all is. Makes me sad because I have a lot of stuff that I love and will be missed this year:( Like you, I will definitely be adding fresh flowers as we get closer to Easter.xoKathleen
ReplyDeleteI adore the bunnies and nests! These items are near and dear to my heart too. You always have a special talent of creating wonderful vignettes! I love the your egg prints with your touches of Spring and Easter. I have had the most difficult time getting in the swing of seasonal decorating- thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteso pretty! love your flash cards, esp, kathy:)
ReplyDeleteYour bunnies and bird nests look really nice.
ReplyDeleteI just heard the weatherman say that snow word.
I found a picture from 4 years ago and at this same date we had a ton of snow. Spring will come.
Oh your spring things are absolutely delightful! I am sooooo in the mood for springtime. Your home looks gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteKathy, Love all your spring decor! I really love the wreath on the lampshade, it's adorable! Thank you for visiting my blog! Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, everything does look springy and pretty at your house. You have a great collection of spring/Easter goodies.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of retirement planning, isn't that terrifying? Ugh!

ReplyDeleteGreat spring vignettes, Kathy. Even if your weather won't budge for spring, your mood will with all those happy little bunnies. I love Fitz & Floyd as well. Their pieces are truly artful and so whimsical.
ReplyDeleteI love all of your bunnies and nests, Kathy...so charming! Sweet vignettes!
ReplyDeleteOh what a lovely visual treat you have blessed me with.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend.
I love your home decorated for spring! All the bunnies, eggs, and cloches are beautiful. I've been decorating too. Now that Olivia can pull herself up to shelves on her bookcase I'm taking most of the glass bunny decor out of her nursery and decorating with them around the house this year. I may even be able to do a blog post with pics! You have a wonderful spring, Kathy! ~ Jamie
ReplyDeleteI hope it works for you! Love all your spring/Easter touches Kathy!
ReplyDeleteI love the ceramic cabbage and bunnies. I used to see similar ones at thrift and antique stores, but now that I want them I can't find them anymore.
