Wednesday, my daughter and I went out to get some fresh air and decided to check out Hobby Lobby. Believe it or not, neither one of us spent a penny there! It was more of a “let’s look and see” mission since they don’t have Hobby Lobby in New York. The good news ~ I think I found some things that might work for that ledge in my kitchen that I showed you here. Large pieces that will fill the space nicely, I think.
Meanwhile, I am {almost} ashamed to say that I took the easy way out and I did order these drapes from Ballard Designs for my living room. I was able to use two sets of drapes from my old house in the new place, but needed something different for the living room and master bedroom. These pictured above will be for the living room.
These will be for the master bedroom and are from Pottery Barn. Hopefully, my next post will not have one box pictured in it, unless it is purely decorative! I’m going to try and clean this place up so I can show you some rooms this coming week.

We don't have a Hob Lob near here, either. There might be one in Orlando. I'll bet you'll be finding things there to buy soon! I know what you mean about buying draperies, sometimes it just works out to buy them. I know they'll be beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSo jealous you got to go to Hobby Lobby! Not fair!

I love the PB drapes the most! How did you like HL the first time? The first time I got to go, I was a kid in a candy shop...
ReplyDeleteKathy I love your choices!! Wonderful, and I love both Ballard Design and Pottery Barn!!
ReplyDeleteI would love your thoughts on my Autumn decor so far, oh and I have a new giveaway!

I love the patterns on your drapes! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are making lots of progress. The first time I went in HL I didn't buy anything either.
ReplyDeleteI love pretty curtains and the ones you picked are just lovely! Looking forward to seeing a little more of your place!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see it all put together. Nice choices, Kathy! XO ~Liz
ReplyDeleteKathy, I can't believe you didn't buy a thing! LOL! But you will. With how creaive you are, you'll be visiting there a lot I'm sure. I don't blame you for taking the easy way out. Sometimes, you just have to get something up and spend your time elsewhere.
ReplyDeleteKathy, I love the new drapes. I am looking forward to seeing what you do with the kitchen ledge.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Sherry
Wow! I am amazed at how quickly you are getting your house all together! Love both choices of curtains. BEAUTIFUL! Also really like the arrangement of the furniture in you living room. I have never been to a hobby lobby. Is it amazing?
ReplyDeleteI drooled over those Ballard drapes from the moment I saw them. I've wanted them for so long but don't have a place for them. Can't wait to see your pics.
ReplyDeletePB drapes are fab! Hope you are settling in nicely!
ReplyDeleteI love both of these drapes. They are so gorgeous. The ones for your master bedroom are one of my favorites from PB. I can't wait to see them in your rooms.
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy,
ReplyDeleteI love a good trip to Hobby Lobby and believe it or not, I too have gone and came home empty handed. That has not happened often, but sometimes I find that no matter how good the price, I can pass it up.
Love the drapes,
Char
I love the drapes.
ReplyDeleteI did the same thing and took the easy way out with some for my dining room. I usually make mine, but I just couldn't find fabric I liked and didn't feel like sitting over a sewing machine right now.
Love yours.
Pretty drapes. Almost all mine are catalog ordered or store bought.
