The other night, I made the last cuts of the season to my hydrangea bushes. Out of the three I have, two bloomed all season and the third started to bloom last week {go figure}. I decided to enjoy them in the house and used them in the pot I showed a few posts ago on our dining room table.
I used the glass hurricane and a faux candle in a pumpkin color {I couldn’t find an actual pumpkin pillar candle in the real candles}. It was 50% off at Hobby Lobby so I felt it would do for this arrangement.
I tucked in some of the hydrangea flowers I had cut around it. As I had said in that previous post, a flat bottom votive candle holder turned upside down inside the pot brings the candle up to a good height. This will do until the blooms dry out and then I can put the faux florals and leaves in their place.
I also took a final picture of our urn by the garage door. You might recall that I have shared it a few times over the Summer months to show you how it progressed in size. It continued to grow even after my last post! Here is the progression in pictures, with the date taken listed below each photo.

Such a great combination and coleus is always a winner in my book. I will have to look back at these pictures for next year’s planting.

I love your flower arrangement with the candle and pretty hydrangeas. Wow! Your pot of plants did really well this summer!
Very pretty! Summer doesn't want to leave here though. Supposed to be in the 80s again this week. Argh!

Very pretty Kathy. The progression pics of your urn outdoors is just gorgeous. They really are loving the weather and your TLC to them. Beautiful.

Hi Kathy, your hydrangeas are gorgeous and look so pretty in your pot with the hurricane and the faux candle. I'm still waiting for even a single bloom from mine. Nothing this year from a large bush that looks so green and healthy.
Not sure what happened.
Enjoy seeing how your urn progressed. It looks so hardy and lush. Great combo of plants and colors.
Enjoy the week and the new granddaughter.
Hugs, cm
I love the arrangement with the hurricane candle in it. So beautiful for fall.
I love the Hydrangeas around your candle; it's lovely! I have enjoyed watching your urn planting throughout the year too. A sweet farewell to Summer and a welcome to Fall!
Oh, they are so pretty. I love how they change color as they dry. Beautiful around the hurricane.
Lovely to see how you have decorated with the hydrangea flowers. Your urn by the door is looking stunning. Creative Nature Bliss...
Love your vignettes. That urn is unbelievable. Can't believe it grew so big. Beautiful!

I love how you did this arrangement...I bet it looks gorgeous when the candle is lit.
The urn is gorgeous...what is the other plant?
I'm sad to see summer go only because I can foresee that frustration as we approach spring so slowly! And I guess I'm going to be worse this coming spring wanting to get back to the lake...finally!
Happy Fall!

Your planters outside and hydrangeas inside are gorgeous!! Isn't it beautiful this time of year? Seems like the Fall decor mood is kicking in for many....Thank you for your suggestions on the French Prov. sofa...everybit helps!! Still don't know what direction I'm going...but it's exciting! I feel like a kid in a candy store trying to decide what to try! Blessings~~~Roxie
Beautiful Kathy! I have to say I am ready for the last hoorah to be over lol. Probably because we don't get major winters here in the South. It does get chilly but not too bad. I love your centerpiece. You asked where I found the monogram. Here is the link.http://creativeartslifestyle.com/
The flowers in your urn certainly love their environment Cathy! (I adore coleus too, especially this time of year.)
Your hydrangeas look so pretty surrounding the candle and your urn is spectacular!! Thanks so much for visiting, its always a pleasure to hear from you.
