That little rustic table I found for my entry/foyer at the local antique mart received it’s bit of French touch. This table wound up being just the right width for behind our front door, so it came home with me.
Not something I would normally get, but I figured I could give it a touch of French. I used these appliques that I’ve had for some time now {I won a gift certificate to an online store that had appliques and corbels a few years ago}.
I painted them with a flat white paint that I already had and attached them with wood glue to the sides.
So far, I like it. It seems to be working out here and unless I find something else that fits, and that I like better, I think it will be staying here for awhile.

Hi Kathy,
This is kind of a different look for you and I love it! I love mixing the rustic french farmhouse pieces with romantic decor. The french scrolls are pretty and add a nice touch.

You little rustic bench fits perfectly in your entrance way... and now it has a darling french touch with those pretty swirls!!! Very clever!
Those appliques look great on the side of your bench (which looks like a good fit for that area)!
Wishing you and your family and very happy Easter!
