Julie BeckI came across this very talented young woman, Julie Beck, on Twitter. Her blog title "Paintings in Progress" is very apt.

Julie's "Awake" painting was chosen for one of the months for the Aquent 2010 Calendar!

Julie also has an Etsy shop where she sells some of her pieces. These are just two of the pieces she is selling.

I was very taken by her work, Christine. Her blog posts show the detail she puts into her art. As a non-artistic person, I find it fascinating!
Yes, right! One of her posts has a harmonica with cherries - the real thing and the painting next to it. Fantastic! Thank you for finding that out Kelly. I did do some surfing around their site and wound up seeing they would do 1 yard. Now I have to try to get a picture of his pictures without him knowing!
Amazing work - hard to tell the difference between the two - is it live or is it memorex???
I love the one entitled "Awake" - it would look lovely in a breakfast nook somewhere.
I love art, she is good. As for my post, it is a room in a kip bay showhouse, so it has been everywhere. I just had to shake my head though... thanks for playing.
