Last week I shared this wire wine bottle caddy that I had gotten at Goodwill. I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it as soon as I saw it.
Here it is spray painted white. I used Krylon and the can said it is good for metal, wood, etc. I hung it on a tree branch and was able to get most of it covered this way.
And here it is with faux geraniums I had stored in my basement. These are, surprisingly, done very well, and they are in tall, narrow terracotta pots {which you can just see through the wire}. I got them at Hallmark about eight years ago. You can’t really see the handle in this picture as I put the flowers on either side of it, but I can pick it up and put it anywhere I feel I need some color. Even if it is faux!
I’ve already put it in my gazebo and am eager to get this season started!
One project down, 789 to go! I like to get these difficult projects out of the way first!

Oh I have one of these and I never considered using it to hold plants, thanks so much for the inspiration!
Kat :)
Looks great! I love seeing things used for their non-intended purpose.
Way cute!! They look great in there
*hugs*deb
You are so creative, Kathy, and inspiring!
I was hoping we could bring out our outdoor furniture and turn the solar heat on in the pool this weekend but it is COLD here and we made a fire in the fireplace!?!
xxoo
That looks terrific~! you are such a smartie. I love all the great stuff you come up with.

Nice idea! I love geraniums. Be sure to stop by AtticMag this week for a Giveaway!
Wow! What a smart idea to use it this way! I haven't tried the tree/spray approach yet but thanks for the tip b/c you know how hard it is to paint some baskets!
What a great idea. It looks fabulous. Love it. Hugs, Marty
Brilliant idea!! I love that used as a plant holder.
Love the transformation. Last year I got those same geraniums at Michaels. They came in a bush and I loved them. they were so real looking, that I mixed them in my front wall plater outside with my real impatients. I don't have any sun there and impatients are the only flower that will grow. No one knew thay were not real! I love your gazebo. I have always wanted one. Blessings...Sherry
I like to get those difficult ones out of the way too. HaHa! That's a great way to use the wine caddy. I love the geraniums and I want a gazebo now. Hope you had a wonderful Easter.
absolutely delightful!
You have great vision! This looks awesome! I would have thought of doing this!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Hi Kathy,
You are just full of great ideas these past few days, you are on a roll!! I think your gazebo is getting a lot of pretty new additions.

I love the way it turned out, it is so cute and summery, love the flowers in it, very clever...
Very sweet. I'm so into teracotta pots and rustic folliage at the moment. Reminds me of my entryway reveal I posted about last week.

Fabulous idea! The flowers look gorgeous! ~Liz =)
How lame am I? I would never think to paint wicker but after seeing this post, I am a convert!
Cute makeover :-) It's fun to see something re-purposed and given a whole new identity :-) Enjoy your portable flowers!!

Kathy I love this! Be blessed. Cindy
What a pretty little arrangement. It looks lovely on your porch. Thanks for stopping by!
It's so cute with the geraniums in it! Love using items for other than what they were intended - my friend puts hand towels in hers for her guest bath.
Lucky you to have those size pots. It's really cute, Kathy.
It looks good Kathy! Great way to repurpose the wine caddy.
It's so cute! How awesome is it that your pots fit the caddy perfectly!
Cute idea! And yes, I'm ready too!!!
Okay. I could not have envisioned that. So cute!
What a great way to "re-purpose" this wine caddy! And I love the geraniums - thanks for linking up to Be Inspired today.
