Fall Cloche Party

I have to mention that one of my favorite cloches, my dome clock cloche, did not make the trip from New York to Ohio intact.  I was very sad to see the crack in the bottom of the glass when I unpacked it.  I really liked this one, too.  I had painted the ceramic base with Oil Rubbed Bronze spray paint and covered the top part with a fleur de lis scrapbook paper {which hid the holes from the clock workings beautifully}.  I still have the base though, so I’m sure I can find it another purpose somewhere.

BUT, I found an even bigger one at the local flea and antique mart.  It was marked $15.00 but the seller said she’d give it to me for $7.00.  Okay!  I didn’t see one at Goodwill when I went recently, and I wanted to make sure I had one for Marty’s Cloche Party.  So she came home with me.

It’s almost a shame to take it apart, but I definitely do not need another clock in this house!  I basically did the same thing with this one as I did with the other.  I painted the plastic base of this one black {cause that’s what I had} and used my other favorite pattern ~ a harlequin ~ on this one.  So here’s the replacement now, holding a plastic skull for Halloween.

And, some Fallish “stuff” on my living room side table.  Once the Halloween stuff is cleared away off the fireplace mantel, it will transition over to there.

Since I took these pictures before Halloween, I still have one holding a bunch of skulls from the dollar store.  I have a bag with some small pinecone filler to replace the skulls.

This was the cloche I made from a vase and glass knob shown here.  {I’ll probably edit later today and add the updated look}.

I won’t show you my wine cork one again because it’s, well, still holding the wine corks!  I do have my apothecary jar on my countertop with some Fall filler and a “gratitude” tag hanging off the lid.

And, of course, I found a way to utilize that cloche that I always think is bigger than it is by pairing it with a dollar store silver tray and my scary-for-all-the-wrong-reasons pumpkins.
