I’m Glad I Stopped For That Garage Sale!

I’m not a “garage saler”.  I don’t usually search out garage or yard sales.  I don’t even usually stop if I pass one.  Sometimes I stop if I know I am going to pass it again on the way home and they have a lot of stuff.  I was glad I stopped for this one on the way back home from the store on Sunday, because this is what I got.

A little baby sled! For $2.00 and in sturdy condition!  It comes up to about my knee.  What a great Winter decoration this can become!  Isn’t it cute?

Great find Kathy!! That will be a wonderful decoration for next winter. Thanks for your nice compliments on the granite! We are really loving it! I'm hoping Kevin's brother can hook up the faucet today...then I gotta go buy the drain thingys...lol. I was a nervous wreck yesterday but it all worked out! Have a great day! Kristen

Love it! Back some years ago, I got an old vintage sled free! My father's next door neighbors had put it out for the trash collectors and he went over and grabbed it for me. The neighbors were so glad that someone would actually want the old thing....it has been well loved, let me tell you! It looks wonderful propped up next to my fireplace during the winter and Christmas. Good score!

You find the best things at a garage sale, when you're not looking for it!

This week is my second blog-aversary and I'm hosting a "Where do you keep it all?" party on Sunday. I'd love to have you join me.

That is just CRAZY cheap! You'll do all kinds of cute stuff with that. I tried to visit you the other day, but couldn't leave a comment. Silly blogger.

Wow! So cute! I can just see it all painted and at your front door for Christmas.

I don't do garage sales either. There's nothing I need that badly to make me get up so early on a weekend.

Hi Kathy,

That is just so adorable! I have two antique sleds and I always use one as decor during the Winter. I've never seen a small one like that, unless it was made just as decoration. Really cute!
Glad you stopped there too! Some of the vintage sleds go for a lot of money!

Kathy,

I LOVE that sled, AND your blog, which I just discovered. Though I am new to blogging and haven't designed it the way I want yet, I nevertheless started one, with intentions of expanding and improving it. I've added you to my blog list.
