I decided to buy the frame for the bathroom mirror a couple of weeks ago. I’m trying to limit any purchases over $100.00 to one a month. Last month it was the headboard for the guest bedroom. Here is the before.
And now the after!
What a huge difference it makes framing out that mirror!
I love the frame design, too. I did this by myself and it was very easy to put up on my own. The hardest part was waiting for the glue to dry, but I had it done and up within a few hours.
Before and After together.

HUGE and AWESOME difference! Love the new look!

Kathy! I have to ask you about this mirror treatment. Did you have the frame made to fit the mirror, and did you glue it directly to the mirror without removing the mirror from the wall? What type of glue did you use. I am asking because I have this same type of mirrors in my home and have always wondered what to do with them.
Also, am I mistaken, or is your birthday on Halloween?
Have a great week ahead! I always love your decorating posts@ E
Framing the mirror makes a huge difference. Very nice!
Looks beautiful, you did a great job.

Kathy, this is amazing! It looks gorgeous now- the perfect addition to your bathroom. I love this idea!
Kathy- It totally changes the look of the whole room. It just looks "richer" now. Love it- I have a couple of those mirrors that I need to do that to....nice job- xo Diana
Wowzer!!! That turned out wonderful. So many houses have that same mirror above the sink. Adding the framed molding makes it fab.
WOW!!!
Holey moley does it ever make a difference! WELL DONE, Kathy!
It looks fantastic!
I love that framed out mirror. It's just gorgeous!! ~ Jamie
Kathy, what a HUGE difference! I hate the look of plain, builder grade bathroom mirrors. Your new frame looks great. And I love your shower curtain! Beautiful!
Kathy that looks fabulous!!! Did you paint it or did it come finished like that?
What a nice improvement! I've been wanting to do this to our master bath mirror for 8 years, but the mirror is so HUGE that I've shied away from it. Did you make the frame yourself or did you buy one premade? What kind of glue did you use? It looks like it's always been there!
WOW! How amazing what a frame can do, it's like jewelry!! GREAT JOB-it looks BEAUTIFUL!
Wow Kathy, you're right - it does make a huge difference! Did you buy a ready-made frame or did you use pieces of trim from the home improvement store?
Hey!..wow what a change.Looks fantastic,you sure made a big difference.Love this!...visiting from BNOTP Met Monday
Your frame really sets off the mirror beautifully. Huge improvement! We did that to our bathroom mirrors and I've loved the difference it's made.
Thanks for stopping by, Mary Alice
Wow! That frame makes all the difference in the world! I can't hardly believe that's all that changed. Remarkable. If you'd like to link this up to Making Space Mondays as well, I'd love for you to join our party. It's at www.debtfreemommyblog.blogspot.com. -Tabitha

Oh that is so pretty! How did you do it? I want to know too! I was just thinking how I would love to dress up my mirror!
Very nice, Kathy. The frame makes a nice bold statement.
Huge difference! It doesn't even look like the same mirror! Love it!

I can't get over what a huge difference framing a mirror can do to the entire space. I hope you give more details as to how you did this. I'd love to do the same thing on a mirror I have.
Doesn't it make such a difference.. I did mine two last year and I just love the change it brings.. your framing is lovely...
Kathy - we all want to know HOW you did that? It's gorgeous! I'm waiting to do the same thing on the huge mirror in the master bath. Your's is one of the nicest I've seen. So much nicer than just trimming it out. Do tell!!!!
What a difference the frame makes, Kathy! You did a great job! We have one of those boring unframed mirrors in our bath, I need to show this to hubby!!
I need to frame my mirrors too. Are you going to do a tutorial on how you did it? Pretty please.
I love your new mirror! I, too, have the kind of mirror that has exposed clips and I'd like to kow how you secured the frame to it, also. It's beautiful!!
Love it...what a beautiful difference it makes!
That is absolutely beautiful Kathy! What an incredible difference one change can make! :-)

Oooo! I really, really like the frame around your bathroom mirror. I see the sink vanity only has cupboards like ours does. I miss having drawers on either side, but we do have a vintage American Oak Medicine Cabinet over the toilet which comes in handy. And our mirror needs replacing after being thirty years old as the 'silver' is beginning to flake in places due to the steamy environment as we don't have a ceiling escape fan/vent.
Your photos give me some ideas! Thanks a bunch!

Love the frame..What a difference..Did you actually put the glass in the frame or did you just put the frame over the mirror..Looks wonderful...
Kathy, that made a tremendous difference. Love it. olive
I love it. We did this to one of our mirrors ~~~ a verrrry long time ago. Yours look waaay better. I think I'm going to have to redo mine now. It's called envy! Thanks for the inspiration!
Please tell us how you did your mirror. I came over from BNOP and think it is beautiful! However, did you buy a kit, or buy individual pieces cut to the specific lengths? Share with us so we can turn our ugly grader build mirrors into a luxury mirror too. Thank you! :)
O'Kathy, what a difference framing out that mirror made! It looks amazing!! Hope you have a wonderful day, Gail
Gorgeous! Framing those big bathroom mirrors really makes them look finished and not like an after thought.
