Two Great Finds

I hit the local antique mart on my way home from the post office.  You never know what you might find there.   This trip I found this great little stool.

The only thing I’m adding to this little guy is a graphic to the top.

You can see how little he is in relation to my coffee table in this picture.

The other item I found was this pediment type piece.  I’m sure it probably came off some piece of bedroom furniture.

It wasn’t marked with a price and I was afraid it was going to be more than I wanted to spend on it.  Turned out it wasn’t, so I happily brought it home.  This one will be getting painted and I can’t wait to play with that detail.

Not bad for $20.00!

Cute finds! I've been coming up empty-handed lately. Nothing at Goodwill or local garage sales. =(

Good Afteernoon Kathy, your stool looks like a milking stool. It's wonderful when you find treasurers like these for just pennies. I love deciding where I am going to put the pieces when I get them home. Enjoy your day. Best Wishes Daphne

The little stool is sweet. I have a big crush on footstools, stools, benches and such have far too many.

Those are great finds, so much potential in each piece. I have a stool that belonged to my mom and I'm looking for some inspiration.

You seem to find the best places to shop! I love the little stool, I just stuck one of my ferns on something like that for a little winter resting place indoors. Lots of uses for those!

Great finds Kathy! I love going to antique malls when I can. You never know what you will find.

I know what you mean about being lazy and cheap...lol! I was determined not to buy anything for the dining room table. Turned out I had everything but the peas and corn! I guess that's the good thing about selling on Etsy. I usually have a good supply of flowers, greenery and berries.

You find the cutest things, Kathy. I have several stools around the house, painted and decorated in various ways. Yours will be cute with a graphic on it.

I want to invite you to come by my new blog, A COZY PLACE CALLED HOME. I had to give up the other blog because a company threatened to take legal action saying I was infringing their trademark. I decided just to start over without the worry of having my blog deleted or getting sued. I need all my old blogging friends to come along with me so, drop by when you have time.--------- Shannon

Kathy, I have the funniest feeling you have found the top to my daughter's old bedroom set! The little stool is great for children to sit at your coffee table to color.
Kathy, Thank you so much for your unexpected gift. The towels are absolutely beautiful. It looks as though you have hand painted them. You simply have made my day! Elizabeth

Hi Kathy, I love both of these finds. The pediment is wonderful. Can't wait to see what you do with it, and that little stool is so cute. You are right. All it needs is a graphic.
