Follow Up ~ Filled The Frame

I didn’t get to paint my headboard or dresser this past weekend so I’m lacking in some project posts this week.  I’m hoping to tackle at least one of them this weekend, but in the meantime I thought I’d come back and show you the picture I used in the middle of my teapot pictures.

I ordered this Alice in Wonderland tea party illustration in 11 x 14 from allposters.com.

My daughter has already let me know that my granddaughter has laid claim to these pictures!

Tiny Doors ~ They’re Fairy Nice

I was searching for some magical looking doors online recently and came across these little fairy doors.  Apparently, they are quite popular and many people use them to make fairy gardens.

I want this one above in a full size door!

I love the idea of using the trunk of a tree or an old stump to set up a fairy house!  How cute is this one below.

Some of these doors even open!

Here’s one that comes in a kit so you could make your own.  You get a choice of peaked or flat.  I think I might need a pink one!

I think these are a really whimsical piece to bring into your home, as evidenced by this one pictured on a bookshelf.  I really love this idea!

If you had a fairy door, where would you put it?

Cupcake Stands

DSC01917_1484

I saw these little cuties on Nothing But Country a week or so ago and knew I just had to try them out.  I’m going to use them for that tea party I keep talking about {button on my sidebar}.

I decided to do three and bought three little round plaque pieces and a package of these little candlesticks.  I was actually looking for short {wider} candlesticks, but my Michaels never has them!

Just hot glued them together.

I picked up two more colors of spray paint to add to one I already had on hand.  I decided to go with some fun sherbert-y looking colors.

Since I don’t have any real cupcakes on hand, here is my faux cupcake as a stand in.  Cute!

I’m Glad I Stopped For That Garage Sale!

I’m not a “garage saler”.  I don’t usually search out garage or yard sales.  I don’t even usually stop if I pass one.  Sometimes I stop if I know I am going to pass it again on the way home and they have a lot of stuff.  I was glad I stopped for this one on the way back home from the store on Sunday, because this is what I got.

A little baby sled! For $2.00 and in sturdy condition!  It comes up to about my knee.  What a great Winter decoration this can become!  Isn’t it cute?
