This chandelier was in the lobby of the building, where the loft we were heading upstairs to for the party was. There were 12 of us standing in the lobby waiting for the elevator and do you know I was the only one that noticed this chandelier! Well, I thought it was breath-taking. {Click on the picture to enlarge}.
This is what I took a picture of on my first trip into Manhattan in like five years! There is something wrong with me.

We understand completely!
Kathy..
Nothing is wrong with you..
your perspectives have changed..
instead of doing the tried, true and VERY expected to be done..
You've simply started seeing more and thinking OUTSIDE the box!!!
KUDOS to you!!
I too think the Chandelier GORGEOUS!
thanks for sharing..
warm hugs and smiles..

Ha! You are too funny. Did you notice any crown molding? I find myself always looking for that - especially in old NYC buildings!
Not at all! I would have taken a picture of it too. It is beautiful. Hope you had a great time at the party.
Nothing is wrong with you. We are all grateful for the item you chose to capture! Rockefeller Center is overphotographed for sure and this beauty was just waiting for someone to notice her :).
Well, I'm with you, it's stunning. I bet it's even more gorge live and in person.
Oh, I'm so bad with the camera sometimes when we're out and about, away on vaca, whatever. Sometimes it's just such much trouble - turning it on, focusing, having to make everyone "wait" for you.
Hope you had a great weekend in the city!
You are too funny!!
I love this!!
Thanks for stopping by!! I always love t o have you visit!!
Kathy,
LOL! There's nothing wrong with you.... you just have that EYE that is ALWAYS looking!
hugs,
Nothing wrong at all; this chandelier was worth the pic!
That is what makes our blogs so unique, everyone is drawn to different things!! You are so funny :)
Love your blog! I get my decor fixes from blogs I follow as I hack away at my home:)
I've finally come to terms that decorating is my much loved hobby, which, in turn, gives me lots of guilt-free room for errors. It's keystrokes with laughter that have become my passion. Hugs, Marla
You are in the right company - completely love the photo and completely understand!

You make me feel better - the first pictures I took when we went to Toronto this summer were of the bathroom, curtains and a stool in our hotel room :)
The kids thought I was weird....
~WOW!!! Cathy it is just spectacular! I don't blame you for taking a photo of that beauty. :)
Well Kathy, this would explain why your passion is decorating and design! I think it's just beautiful too...thanks for sharing!

I would think something would be wrong if you neglected to take a picture of that gorgeous chandelier, next time though leave out the exit sign...lol!

What a magnificent chandelier Kathy!!! I can't believe you were the only one that noticed! I guess some people are more visual than others. I'm so glad you have such a great eye for beautiful things so that we can all enjoy this photo!
How could they not notice?! It's gorgeous!!
haha! It's beautiful! This is the side of Manhattan I want to see! ;)

It is stunning! I am jealous that you were in NYC. My husband was there this week and I so wanted to go but couldn't get away - it's just so hard this time of the year with everything going on. You lucky girl!
XOOX

What?!! You didn't try to take that home with you?? Didn't you have a tool kit tucked under that party dress? That's fabulous. I envy you for being to see Manhattan during the holiday season. I've seen so many beautiful pictures of the city, and I'd just love to go.
Happy Holidays.
I don't see a thing strange about it... love it too!

If you're strange, then I guess I am too. :-) I have a feeling I would have done the same thing.
There is nothing wrong with you, just the contrary, you see the beauty in all places. The chandelier is gorgeous!
It IS gorgeous! Imagine how much MORE gorgeous it would be if 2/3 of the bulbs weren't burnt out!!!
